The Property Officer is part of the Risk and Governance department and will work in the Property Management team, The Team acts as the custodian of all Council property and provides for stewardship of the property portfolio including management of Councils property portfolio in relation to purchases, sales, leases, licences, agreements, road discontinuances and strategic development. We are also responsible for administering all legislation, regulations and guidelines with respect to the management and administration of Councils property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate and administer all requests for landlord consent, as per Councils lease and/or licence arrangements.
Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders including conducting title searches, reviewing title search information and interpretation for Council land and roads/laneways (ability to do complex title searches will be valuable)
Ensure that technical advice provided to other Council areas and to the public is accurate, timely
