Chapter Lead - Insurance Sector, Data Governance and CPG 235 Focus

Hays are currently partnering with one of Australia's leading insurers who are seeking a Data Enablement Chapter Lead to spearhead one of their business streams within data and analytics.
The company offer an exciting culture with an array of employee benefits, and the successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment whilst gaining significant experience in property. The role will be operating on a hybrid basis with ample flexibility to WFH.
Your new role:
Working within a highly agile environment, you will be individually responsible for delivering on business outcomes, in addition to managing a chapter of circa 35 members.
You will be defining business goals, collaborating with the centre of excellence in data governance and data analysis. In addition to this, overseeing the data enablement team who are responsible for data management, governance, data literacy uplift, CPG235 and more.
What you'll need to succeed:
12+ years relevant experience within a leading insurance / financial institution
Visible passion for subject area, with demonstrated experience in solving complex problems.
Qualifications in an industry Data Management standard eg DMBOK or DAMA.
Understanding of APRA CPG 235 - Managing Data Risk.
Experience with coaching or mentoring others to develop expertise.
Experience in delivering DAA specific initiatives e.g. Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data, Reference Data, Data Integration, Analytics, AI.
Experience in developing and implementing delivery methods and standards.
Aligning to transformation agenda's and being a key contributor to strategy and delivery roadmaps.
Demonstrated senior business and IT key stakeholder management experience.
Experience in project management and delivery, agile and / or related areas.
