About the role Working as part of the Community Acute Social work within the Rehabilitation Aged and Community Services team. They have the responsibility to care and support patients across a range of critical and acute areas. Working out of a community care centre and in a broader range of sites throughout the ACT providing support to people with acute, post-acute and long-term illnesses. You may provided psychosocial care to patients and their families who attend the Hospital and Canberra Region Cancer Centre or who have been admitted to Ward 4A or Ward 14b as part of a multidisciplinary team. You are required to hold the capability to carry out assessments and therapeutic intervention for a range of the population throughout their journey. You must hold a willingness to work overtime and weekends on a rotation roster. Non-negotiable to be successful
Hold AASW registration or be eligible and willing to apply
Hold a working with Vulnerable persons check
National police check within the past 3 months
Have had all category A vaccinations or a willingness to have.
