On behalf of our client, we are looking for a full-time Network Engineer to join their team. The client is based in Brisbane and operates as a platform-enabled secure network and digital infrastructure provider. The client leads the industry in designing, building, and operating digital infrastructure - providing greater efficiency, performance, agility, and resilience.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for delivering solutions to customer problems and engage directly with our customers to capture business requirements and transform these through analysis and design into technical solutions.

You will:
• Contribute to the long-term product and solution strategy for the client
• Drive adoption of new technologies by maintaining up-to-date personal knowledge of the client’s technology, key industry domains and technical trends.
• Develop and publish technical standards for existing and new solutions.
• Produce project documentation, including network designs, implementation plan, test plans and as-built.
• Provide oversight and support in design, configuration management, and implementation of network architectures and infrastructure.
• Provide in-depth analysis on existing network and server configurations and make recommendations for system enhancements.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including Cisco router and switches, Meraki and Fortigate firewall.
• Develop and maintain network technical documentation, including technical design documentation, network diagrams, detailed workarounds or proposed alternate solutions tailored to fit the customer requirements.
• Monitor, assess activities and performance of network operations and integrated complex systems to identify any possible network outages.
• Configure and deliver solutions for our customers, and test implemented workflows.
• Develop automation that could potentially assist or replace intensive manual repetitive tasks to drive efficiencies and avoid human-error.
• Train and mentor new team members on the BAU project processes.
• Support the successful implementation of assigned Projects, on time, on scope, ensuring quality execution and customer satisfaction.

Subject Matter Expertise Skills and Experience
• Formal tertiary qualifications in IT or related fields
• At least 2 years of work experience in a service provider or large enterprise environment
• Working on large enterprise networks in multivendor environments
• Excellent networking skills and experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
