The role entails leading the workforce & skills team with adept management, supervision, and leadership to deliver top-notch services to both internal and external clients, while ensuring compliance with company standards and contracts. Additionally, the Workforce & Skills Manager will support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operational performance across departments and will embody the company's purpose, mission, values, and goals through exemplary leadership.
Provide effective leadership for the Workforce & Skills department and other departments
Manage project performance and compliance within the department
Collaborate with industry groups and stakeholders to achieve mutual goals
Identify and implement workforce solutions and strategies
Maintain relationships with stakeholders in the Northern Territory
Ensure contractual compliance and promote VET sectors
Support industry and training providers
Contribute to national qualifications development
Participate in conferences and industry events
Foster a client-focused environment and continuous improvement
Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures
Lead by example and support a positive workplace culture
Provide quality service to clients and respond to enquiries promptly
Market our services and build strategic alliances
Represent us professionally in all interactions.
What you'll need to succeed
Recognised management, training, or related qualifications
Familiarity with National and Northern Territory VET sector
Skilled at engaging diverse industry groups and resolving complex issues
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective team management and leadership skills
Experience in performance management frameworks
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to drive change and achieve results
Proactive leader with strong time management skills
Willingness to travel interstate
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and client databases
