Braces Pty Ltd is an Orthodontic Practice and Software Development company. We are seeking a skilled Programmer/Developer specialising in FileMaker applications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom FileMaker solutions tailored to our business needs. You will also collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage projects from concept to deployment, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining custom FileMaker applications tailored to business needs.
• Enhancing existing FileMaker solutions with new features and functionality.
• Researching, consulting, analysing, and evaluating system program needs.
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and processes.
• Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors in FileMaker applications.
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements and technical specifications.
• Writing, updating, and maintaining technical program and end-user documentation.
• Providing advice and guidance in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities.
• Implementing and managing security protocols, including user authentication and data encryption.
• Ensuring consistent user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals.
• Providing technical support and training to end-users and team members.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation within the FileMaker platform.
• Experience with
• Knowledge of software design and development methodologies.
• Familiarity with testing, debugging, and quality assurance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
At least 5 years proven experience in FileMaker development and database management and integrating FileMaker solutions with external systems and APIs; in a similar environment.
