This position involves but not limited to:
Organize department personnel and collect kill schedules.
Conduct prestart checks and organize chiller unloading based on kill schedules.
Calculate and verify refrigeration index (RI) and surface temperatures before unloading carcasses.
Perform pH and temperature measurements using probes and record data accurately.
Grade carcasses in accordance with AusMeat and MSA Standards, ensuring accurate data entry and ticketing.
Report abnormalities and equipment failures to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
Maintain records and conduct data logger procedures as required.
Ideally, preferred candidates will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a similar role within the meat processing industry is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in using grading equipment and data logging tools.
Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery. Must be
