Pomona Valley is a contemporary, diverse supplier of fresh produce based in Ardmona growing high quality produce across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania for more than 100 years. We grow at scale to take advantage of growth opportunities in key horticulture sectors including apples, pears, cherries and stone fruit, across both domestic and export markets.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Operations you will provide a high level of financial and administrative support to enable the Production team to achieve financial deliverables.
What you will be responsible for:
• Monitor assets management and budget project costing
• Prepare month end report, manage accounts receivable/ payable
• Batch margin matrix review, reporting & adjustments.
• Manage RCTI grower deductions, including Bin Hire, Chep charges, Storage, rework, Transport etc.
• Review the financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and keep updated all financial policies and procedures including internal control procedures.
• Project costing and capital asset evaluation.
• Formulate organisational budgetary and accounting policies.
• Ensure the statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
• Analyse and report company income and expenditure.
• Providing assurance about the accuracy of the information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirement.
• Preparation of annual financial reports including the profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
• Responsible for financial reporting and analysis on portfolios forecast and actual financial performance.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and payments as well as reconciliation of GST outgoings and incomings.
About You
• Bachelor’s in accounting
• Minimum two year’s work experience in a similar capacity
• In depth experience in MYOB EXO and other accounting software
• Excellent problem-solving skills with verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details
• Able to perform under pressure.
