Senior/ Project Engineer | Utilities Your new company Hays has partnered with an established national civil/utilities' construction company with vast experience in South East Queensland, specialising in water treatment, drainage, pipelines, utilities and civil infrastructure projects. Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are currently recruiting experienced Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers for current and upcoming projects around SEQ. Your new role As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of complex and exciting utilities projects in South East Queensland. Your responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:
Ensure that the work being delivered meets the requirements set out in the design & complies with all applicable standards.
Utilising your skills to provide advice to onsite teams.
Reporting on project timelines, budgeting, and planning.
Managing onsite quality assurance, safety, and environmental requirements.
Developing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will need:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant project engineering experience.
5-10 years' experience on similar projects.
Water, pipelines and/or utilities experience.
Previous PE experience in QLD.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills include the ability to influence and build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
