JBS Australia’s Southern Division has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia processing beef, sheep, and goats based in Melbourne. We also have five other facilities across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and has access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities. Operates six beef, lamb, and multi-species processing facilities across four states.

An exciting opportunity exists at our Scone facility for experienced Skilled Meat Workers. We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals who are committed to providing an effective service. The successful individuals should be prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement. The annual salary for this position is no less than $65,835 plus superannuation (commensurate with experience & skill levels applied, and more with additional allowances and/or overtime where worked).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
To adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality procedures
Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
Good communication skills essential
Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
The ability to work in a fast paced environment
Performing general slaughtering / boning / slicing / sawing duties
High focus & attention to detail.
About you:
A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering / Sawing required
Relevant qualification (Cert 2/3 meat processing) advantageous but not essential
Knowledge and understanding of different rotations
Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
Knowledge and understanding of related quality requirements.
