Clinical Specialist - Rhythm Management - ACT

The position of Clinical Specialist – Rhythm Management, provides clinical and technical support for a range of Cardiac Rhythm Management and Electrophysiology products. This support is required during implants, patient clinics, for technical trouble-shooting and other general assistance to the sales team & their customers. It also involves utilising strong Rhythm Management experience with conventional, cryoablation and 3D Mapping electrophysiology procedures and techniques.
WHAT WILL YOU BE REPONSIBLE FOR?
Provide superior day-to-day field clinical support, which includes patient interactions, support and programming of Boston devices, patient follow up as well as technical/application and education support, site management and coordination.
Provide clinical support for the Cardiac Rhythm Management (low and high voltage) and Electrophysiology (single shot and 3D mapping) product portfolio
Build strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs as well as identify potential new business opportunities in the assigned state.
Work with the broader Rhythm Management team to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers.
Successfully complete formal Rhythm Management training program(s), apply these skills in the field and maintain high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Understand and identify your customer needs in your state including practices and policies as well as identifying any competitor activities.
Participate and provide assistance in relevant tender process.
Completion of relevant administration including reporting, stock validations and management as well as database management.
Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
Complete market analysis and regular reporting as required.
To be available to support the broader ANZ EP business on an as-needs basis
Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS
Product/Technical Knowledge
A thorough understanding of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiac Rhythm Mangement
Biophysics of radiofrequency and cryoablation
A thorough understanding of Pulsed Field Ablation (Pulsed Direct Current) on cardiac tissue and a biophysical understanding of tissue selectivity
Successfully completes all relevant training
Develop in depth knowledge of Rhythm Management procedures, products and treatment applications.
Proactively keeps up to date with technical knowledge in electrophysiology.
Relationship Building
Builds and maintains effective networks that add value in achieving work related goals.
Skilled in building rapport with a wide variety of individuals.
Understands the balance between taking time to build rapport and achieving objectives set.
Works effectively and collaboratively within the team environment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous clinical case experience within Rhythm Management essential
Strong technical and clinical skills
Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field
Excellent written & verbal communication
Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines
Exposure and understanding of conventional EP. Ability to interpret EP signals. Exposure to 3D Mapping and cryoablation. Troubleshooting skills and experience
