Your new role As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be required to perform thorough inspections and diagnostics of diesel engines, fuel systems, transmissions, and related components. Responsibilities also include:
Carry out repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles, trucks and trailers
Conduct routine servicing and tune-ups to optimise engine performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems in diesel engines
Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, services, and inspections performed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the workshop environment.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful as a Diesel Mechanic:
Qualified Diesel Mechanic
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with experience with Heavy Vehicles
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, and related components.
Proficient at diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driving licence - Heavy Rigid Licence advantageous
