Role: Metal Casting Labourer
Classification: Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award [MA000010], Level C14 V1
Ongoing Full time Position (6 months or more)
Location: Dalby QLD
Open Vacancy: 10
Work Schedule: Minimum 38hrs/week with potential overtime
Approximate start date: Early-mid June 2024
RE: $40,000 - $60,000 /Year
Responsibilities:
- Heats metal in forges and furnaces and hammers, punches and cuts metal using hand tools and machine presses with supervision
- Selects metal stock for job requirements
- Tempers and hardens finished articles
- Cuts, trims, shapes and smooths stock to form mould patterns
- Fills boxes with sand and sets patterns in place
- Adhere to WHS guidelines
- Sound problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Potential opportunity to upskill through training programs
