The Client:
Dezign is a leading hospitality and hotel specialist, offering comprehensive consultancy and project delivery.
They are seeking an experienced Construction Projection Manager to join their team in head office team in Lawson, NSW.
The Role:
The Construction Projection Manager role will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the construction, fitout and refurbishment of commercial, hotel and hospitality projects including the physical and human resources involved in building and construction.
It is for a full time role with an annual salary of $90,000 + Superannuation.
The Responsibilities:
Interpret architectural drawings and specifications, ensuring they conform to customer requirements
Coordinate and manage labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment
Consult and coordinate with Architects, Engineering Professionals and other professionals, and Technical & Trades Workers both internal and external to the organisation
Negotiate with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Prepare scopes, tenders and contract bids
Operate and implement coordinated work programs for sites
Ensure adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety
Manage submission of plans and documents to local authorities and certifiers
Oversee the standard and progress of subcontractors’ work
Arrange building inspections by local authorities
Plan, organise, and coordinate a wide range of hospitality projects
Lead project teams and ensure successful outcomes by guiding and motivating project members to work collaboratively towards project goals
Oversee risk management, identifying potential challenges and implementing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the projects proceed smoothly.
Demonstrate accountability for maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including owners, investors, and relevant authorities, and provide regular updates on project progress and any necessary adjustments.
Issue on time weekly project reports to all relevant stakeholders
Oversee the day-to-day operations, including resourcing, scheduling, prioritisation, and task coordination to meet project milestones within agreed timeframes and budgets.
The Requirements:
At least a Certificate 4 or Diploma in Project Management
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in construction management or a related field in a leadership or supervisory role on construction projects.
At least 3 years’ experience in construction, fitout or refurbishment projects
At least 3 years technical experience utilising Microsoft Project and Microsoft NAV Dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality reports within deadlines
