Construction Project Manager

Our Business Development team are a group of high performing individuals that play an important role in the overall success and growth at Guzman y Gomez. We’re looking for a Construction Project Manager that will manage all construction projects within the GYG network. Based in our NSW Head Office, this role will develop a suite of approved guidelines relating to GYG construction standards to be utilized in all future designs and constructions. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • All real estate preconstruction consulting and approvals are completed
  • Statutory submissions and site requirements are submitted promptly
  • Provide project feasibility analysis to support new restaurant expansions along side GYG’s development management team
  • Manage the design process which includes briefing documents, scope documents, fee proposals, and consultant engagement
  • Estimates and tenders for each project are managed
  • Non-trade construction elements (e.g. furniture, tiles, commercial cookery equipment, etc.) are sourced
  • Project components are managed in accordance with agreed timeframes
  • Construction companies/tradespeople are selected and engaged based on price, reputation, quality, reliability, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain the GYG restaurant preventative maintenance program
  • Manage ad-hoc projects to agreed budget and timeframes
  • Manage relationships with key construction and maintenance partners
  • Ensure regular status reports are provided to relevant stakeholders regarding ongoing projects
  • Develop GYG design/construction schedules and templates for internal communication sign off
  • Develop and maintain GYG design and construction standards including: Kitchen/mechanical guidelines, Interior fit out, IP manual

You’ll enjoy this role if you have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel intrastate, interstate, and if required, internationally
