Working for Property Fire Maintenance you will be employed as a skilled Carpenter you will be responsible for installing and maintaining Fire performance Doors and Frames. Previous experience within the Passive Fire Industry is an advantage but not a necessity. You should reply with your trade skills and previous employment history.
Cert 3 or 4 in Carpentry should be a base for application.
Tasks include
Erecting framework and fastening Materials to Framework, using Hand/power tools and various fasteners.
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler/tape measurer, marker/pencil, chalk etc.
Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand/power tools and power saws
Study specifications in drawings and building plans to prepare layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
Installing / replacing doors and door frames, including cutting doors to size, fitting hardware such as hinges, locks, handles and closers ensuring a smooth operation and functionality
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
