Our origins go way back to 1837 when The Australian Gas Light Company was established. Pictured here is an original gas streetlight in Sydney, lit by us, many years ago. We have recently embarked on a digital customer-centric transformation journey to simplify, automate, and digitalize where possible. This means adopting the best technology to stay ahead of our ever-changing landscape. As a Technical Analyst, you will support the applications within Digital Market Platforms through technical support, maintenance, and continual improvement. You will gain valuable insights and experience through collaboration with product owners and applications SME's to deliver small to medium application enhancements across the business. No day is ever the same and you will constantly be exposed to new and interesting challenges. This position operates in a rotational 24x7 on-call support model and requires flexible availability. A little about you:
You've worked with different technologies such as Java, Spring framework, Maven, Hibernate, webMethods, Control-M, SAP Cloud Integration, APIM to help design and build integration between multiple systems.
You continuously seek to make improvements by researching for alternatives and new technologies
You are familiar with different agile delivery methods
You've managed the full SDLC using on test driven development approach
You can apply DevOps principles, develop test automation and manage CI/CD pipelines
Supporting critical market and corporate functions based on ITIL approaches is nothing new to you
You can follow Incident/Problem/Change/Release processes
You are comfortable working a rotational 24x7 on-call support model
You are capable of designing, developing and implementing secure event-driven integration and APIs
Qualifications / certifications & Skills:
Previous DevOps or Intergration experience in a similar complex matrix environment (AWS native service is highly desirable)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Development or a related discipline required
Experience with Integration tools e.g. webMethods, Dell Boomi, SAP Integration Suite.
Solid understanding and experience with integration best practices
Hybrid integration solutions (i.e. iPaaS vs Cloud vs. On-Premise)
Maintain, plan and be a part of rostered 24x7 on call break fix support and to ensure service levels are achieved
Excellent Defect Management, support experience for various test cycles including Functional, UAT & participate and organise defect triage meetings
