Chandler Macleod recruitment agency are working with the National Disability Insurance Agency, who are a Federal Government Agency, to find a new Administrative Support for the office in Lismore.   Important information about your new roleFull time hours (37.5 hours/week)Hourly rate - $37.36This is an Australian Public Service Level 3 (APS3) Role12 month assignment with the possibility of extension  About your new role The role is titled a “Participant Support Officer”. It is a team membership position and is responsible for setting priorities and managing workflow. The position will undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities.   The position will have a public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide straightforward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.   You will be provided with 12 weeks of intensive training to equip you to undertake your new role.   About your new company The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The NDIA values a positive contemporary attitude to disability.     What you will do in your new roleProvide counter/reception support for the local office including participant enquiries in the self-help kiosks and online supportManaging the team shared email inbox, appointments and telephone enquiriesCoordinating appointments with the use of Agency office facilities and ensuring facilities are accessible for participantsUndertaking research and investigation activities and preparing associated reports and correspondenceSupporting planning teams by actioning planning tasks that do not require delegationUndertaking a range of data entry activities and ensuring follow up is completedReceiving and recording complaints and other feedback in the Agency Business systems.  About youEnjoy dealing with clients face to face Experience in dealing with challenging conversations and behaviours.Ability to provide empathic serviceExperience in Microsoft Office computer based workAbility to use Client Records Management Systems (CRM)  Mandatory Requirements:Working with Children and Vulnerable People CheckNDIS Worker Screening Check (WSC)National Police CheckPre-employment checks  Please call Caitlin Lummis at Chandler Macleod on 02 6762 9000 for a copy of the Position Description and for further information.
