Some of what you’ll be doing

• Facilitate training for new starters and refresher sessions on core business applications (e.g., Bullhorn and LinkedIn).
• Create and maintain LMS modules, user guides, and Help Centre articles to support training and documentation.
• Provide level 1 support for core applications, including ticket management, issue resolution, and change request documentation.
• Maintain a registry and manage incident communication, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Develop and maintain communication templates and pipelines for project updates and alerts.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and stand in for the Change and Technology Manager as needed.

We are looking for a DevOps Support Engineer to join our Shared Services Domain.

The Shared Services Group provides the operations, process improvement and shared core banking and technology applications that enable and support Cuscal’s business units. The portfolio of applications and technology services is large and broad, including core systems and gateways, settlement and disputes, billing, and client portals and access management.

As the DevOps Support Engineer you will manage the site reliability activities, capacity, resilience and life cycle management of the platforms.

As the DevOps Support Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Provide ongoing support for Cuscal applications in a production environment, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Plan and execute lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track application performance, proactively identify issues, and ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve application issues promptly.
• Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in application management.
• Respond to and resolve production incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick recovery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT operations, development, security, and vendors, to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of the application.
• Ensure applications meets all security and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and updates.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will utilize your passion for helping others to ensure that
our Users and Enterprises are successful in their use of DataStax products and solutions. This
is a continuous learning and teaching role where you will develop and share your knowledge of
troubleshooting, configuration, and exciting new technologies inclusive of and complementary to
Apache Cassandra, DataStax Enterprise, and Astra.
What you will do:
Research, reproduce, troubleshoot, and solve highly challenging technical issues
Provide thoughtful direction and support for technical inquiries
Ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible
Diagnose and reproduce customer reported issues and log JIRA tickets
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours, holiday, weekend support coverage
Create code samples, tutorials, and articles for the DataStax Knowledge Base
Collaborate and contribute to Support Team infrastructure tools and processes
Fulfill the on-call rotation requirements of this role
Your experience should include:
Strong English skills are a MUST
4+ years of experience supporting large enterprise customers in a customer-facing
support role
Experience with supporting a Software as a Service Cloud product
Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog and other monitoring solutions
Experience supporting Kubernetes-based distributed applications, or an understanding
of Kubernetes fundamentals
Experience with pub-sub, messaging and streaming solutions like Pulsar, Kafka

Experience using APIs and understanding app development lifecycle with a language or
framework based on Java, Python or Go would be preferred
Experience/certifications with AWS/GCP/Azure deployments and associated cloud
based monitoring tools would be preferred
Experience with Linux operating systems, including command line, performance, and
network troubleshooting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Lifetime learner, self-motivated with ability to multi-task during high pressure situations
Nice to have:
Supporting Apache Cassandra environments or other relational and/or alternative
database technologies is a plus
Understanding of Java, Python, Go and/or another language (Troubleshooting skills)
Experience with escalation management and customer success or premium support
Experience working in a fast-moving high-pressure environment

As a Support Engineer, you will assist a team of product design and production engineers with various engineering tasks. Your duties will include creating and maintaining drawings, work instructions, product and material specifications, installation and assembly instructions, diagrams, production jigs and fixtures, and other related items. You will also help manage all design documentation for both new and existing product designs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation including detailed product assembly and part drawings, assembly instructions, installation instructions, bills of materials, product and material specifications, wiring diagrams and other associated items.
• Work closely within the departments to ensure that technical information about products is recorded clearly & accurately.
• Demonstrated approach to documentation, engineering administration, clear thinking and problem solving.
• Ongoing development, update and coordination of technical and engineering data.
• Maintain and update CAD components 3D models.
• Complete assigned tasks within required time frames
• Assist in administering Engineering Changes and concessions
• Allocation of document and drawing numbers including version control
• Ensure CAD data and associated drawings, data and documents are stored in correct file locations on the server
• Provide technical inputs to component and materials selection
• Assemble and test protypes and pre-production samples
• Work with production and assist in optimising production assembly processes
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product assembly requirements
• Design and develop test jigs and fixtures for product assembly to assure product and process quality
