About the Role
Alongside the Battery Energy Storage (BES) products Relectrify are building with our game-changing, patented CellSwitchTM technology, we are developing a suite of O&M (operations and maintenance) and related services. These service offerings will range from performance warranties and capacity assurance programs, to service contracts, to analytics and a user interface (UI) leveraging the wealth and quality of data our technology generates.
With a keen focus on meeting customer needs, but with solid technical capability, the successful candidate will create, define, deliver, and maintain these offerings and collaborate closely with Relectrify’s software engineering and data teams, and with third-party vendors to integrate aspects of the solutions.
Location: The position offers the flexibility of hybrid work between home and our city-fringe office location (between Southern Cross and North Melbourne stations). Some domestic and international travel may be required from time to time.
Team Background: This role reports to the Chief Product Officer and will work closely with:
- the Product Manager for Battery Energy Storage products,
- the Business Development + Marketing teams, and with
- the software engineering team.
Together we strive to develop and deliver products and services that leverage Relectrify's core technology to win significant and defensible market share via class-beating value propositions that are difficult for competitors to replicate.
Who we’re looking for: The successful candidate will have experience in the renewable energy industry, possibly with an EMS, VPP or other software-focused business. They will have demonstrated experience bringing similar products and services to markets and making them successful.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be creating, defining, delivering and maintaining the suite of O&M and related software and services for Relectrify customers, in close collaboration with Relectrify software and data engineering teams and with third parties. This will include:
- Integration of Relectrify technology with software platforms such as EMS, PPC, market participation & VPP systems
- Relectrify's own customer UI
- Battery operation & performance analytics including leveraging Relectrify data for
- Improved market bidding accuracy
- Improved safety performance (early prediction of anomalous cells and pre-emptive isolation)
- Relectrify service agreements, performance warranties, energy-as-a-service & capacity assurance programs, and the related infrastructure to support these such as fault prediction & service planning tools.
Must-have experience:
- Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks (i.e. working rights, criminal history, and employment references).
- Tertiary degree qualified, ideally of a technical nature.
- Product Management experience in digital / online / data-related services products.
- Experience with batteries, power electronics, renewable energy and related technologies and applications.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in growth-stage companies and experience shepherding disruptive technology products into established markets.
- Existing relationships within the broader renewables/energy storage industry, especially in the area of EMS, VPP, power plant control, energy market bidding space.
- Strong business analytics & financial modelling skills.
