About the role
We are looking for a Civil Engineer - Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. This is a fulltime role, based in Ringwood, VIC. The role will require strong organization and communication skills to accurately assess project cost and estimates to our clients.
Key Tasks
-Take-off s, tendering for projects, costings and BOQ's
-Read and analyze drawings, architectural plans & specifications and develop cost estimates
-Oversee site labor activities, including delivery of construction materials and machinery hire
-Preparation and administration of estimates and tenders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of completion
-Estimating total costs and for architectural and engineering drawing and specifications
-Preparing scopes of work for sub-contractors and review and communicate changes in design structure
-Maintaining efficient and thorough documentation for effective negotiations on project variations
Communicate with subcontractors, new clientele and team members regarding new projects.
The successful candidate will have
-3+ years estimating experience in construction or structural engineering
-Excellent negotiation and communication skills
-Good administration and organisation skills
-Willingness to work under pressure
-Expert in Estimating Tools/Software, Excel and Word skills
