The Role

Lyka is growing and we're looking for a hands-on marketer to join our pack! You could be working client-side or at an agency and will have experience in several marketing disciplines such as brand, events, PR and strategic partnerships.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on and lead a diverse range of projects including events, product GTM coordination and partnerships. The role works closely with Lyka’s in-house creative team as well as cross-functional teams such as R&D, Product and Partnerships. What will you do?

• Drive the implementation of the brand strategy, including liaising with internal teams and external agencies or stakeholders.
• Identify and seek out unique PR opportunities, which may include writing press releases and gathering information from various areas of the business. This includes, but is not limited to, applying for relevant product, business and people awards.
• Drive strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders.
• Take ownership of discrete brand-related projects with support from our Senior Brand Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing.

About the role

You will be leading the development of renewable projects including wind, solar and battery storage that will need your stewardship through the development life cycle to financial close.

The role is based in our Melbourne or Sydney office – with site visits required to our development sites, stakeholders and communities. Essential Job Functions

Project Development

• Potentially anything that falls under the banner of Project Development from landowner liaison, development approvals, grid connection, EPC procurement, PPAs etc. Treat the projects as if they are your own.
• Assist the wider Investment Team through asset growth opportunities as required, including bringing your contributions and knowledge into project evaluations, acquisition bids, transaction and negotiation processes, due diligence work and supporting Investment Directors through internal approval processes.
• Develop sound relationships with relevant stakeholders including: landholders, community, regulators and policy makers.
• Manage project teams of multidisciplinary internal and external experts, including technical, planning, legal, grid, environmental and engineering advisors.
• Selecting advisors, consultants, OEMs and construction contractors (including EPC contractors), running procurement process and contract negotiations through to financial close.
• Negotiation of high value contracts including project construction (EPC) and transmission connection agreements.
• Manage the grid connection process, working closely with NSPs and grid consultants, to navigate the complexity of the technical, regulatory and commercial connection landscape.
• Manage the delivery of development works within allocated budgets in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
• Development of project execution plans including timelines, costs, risk assessments, communication of project financials and progress reports in a consistent manner across the assigned projects.
• Development of required inputs for management papers, board papers and commercial negotiations as required.
• Prepare and manage budgets for Capex and Opex, project schedules, and technical inputs into financial models, supporting overall project business case development.
• Support our fundraising efforts, including meeting with prospective investors, promoting the Octopus profile, and supporting our fund managers with development expertise as required.
• Support ongoing profile raising activities – networking with industry participants and at times engaging with energy policymakers to influence energy policy.

• Pre contract cost planning services during design stages of projects
• Post contract progress claim and variation assessments
• Engage with the local property market to gain market knowledge for use in the delivery of our services

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provide accurate forecasting and real-time reporting
• Attempt to contact all enquiries promptly, striving to find alternative contact details when necessary
• Ensure contact with a new enquiry occurs within 5 minute SLA
• Successfully manage a large pipeline of opportunities with diligence and care, ensuring accurate contact levels and management of call backs
• Build rapport with existing clientele and prospects to encourage repeat business and lasting relationships
• Aim to overachieve against target and KPI expectations as set by the company
• Complete feedback and update reports from office providers in a quick and timely manner
• Ensure a good level of product knowledge of the flexible office sector
• Attend viewings with clients
• Work in collaboration with team members as well as individually
• Attend set provider-led after-work events and participate in networking opportunities representing Flexioffices in a professional manner and act as ambassadors for the company at all times

• Input to success through customer service delivery and system management 
• Keen level of organisation and maintaining a daily schedule 
• Lead negotiations and a consultative service delivery 
• Ensuring detailed information is input into Salesforce/ CRM 
• Building relationships within the flexible office sector 
• Ownership of the whole sales process from lead > deal > aftercare  
• Ensure pipeline and daily tasks are managed effectively  
• Confirm viewings, make pre and post tour calls to both client and provider 
• Achieve and exceed KPI's: 
• Detail orientated qualification and build rapport, encouraging long standing relationships 
• Opportunity to completed viewing 
• Completed viewing to deal 
• Price comparison and advisory support after viewing stage 
• Allocate time to outbound efforts using our existing database, Linkedin, and/or any tools provided 
• Account manage key accounts promoting enhanced listings, VRB, online portal, increased comms and beneficial payment plans 
• Nurture existing clientele to encourage growth opportunities and repeat business 
• Exploring refferal opportunities with every lead, revenue associated to fulfil this source of revenue expectation
