To provide a high level of general office administration tasks that supports the Homestead Community and Learning Centre.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage appropriate systems to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration including general correspondence, meeting minutes, purchasing, invoicing, document management, collation of data and reports. 
• Administer the Centre’s booking system, including point of contact enquiries, maintenance of the booking system and administration of accounting processes.
• Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Homestead Community and Learning Centre as per the Operations Manual.
• Ensure the facility is maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance and cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the Council’s Facilities Management Team.
• Administer the Centre’s learner enrolments, including the processing of enrolment forms and payments.
• Assist in the design and data entry of databases as required particularly maintenance of the Social Planet system.
• Manage customer service requests, complaints, general enquiries, and transactions (where appropriate).
• Help promote and support the participation of a wide range of users in the facility and Council programs through collaborative approaches and maintenance of day to day facility operational functions.

• Demonstrated ability in dealing with difficult situations, resolving problems, and presenting a positive image of Council. 
• Previous experience working in an administrative role and demonstrated experience and aptitude in dealing with members of the public.
• Knowledge of Council software applications including Finance One, Bookable and HPE Content Manager is desirable.

About this opportunity

The National Technical Manager forms part of the VPS operations team reporting to the national operations manager and supporting all sites in Australia as well as on request support for the sites in New Zealand.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Being the subject matter expert on maintenance processes.
• Being the expert on the MEX maintenance system.
• Monitoring and reporting on maintenance KPIs and taking action when KPIs are off track.
• Working with the sites to continually review and improve the maintenance schedule.
• Identification and optimisation of critical and non-critical spare parts for the VPS operations.
• Ensuring site stocktakes of spare parts are done on time and accurately.
• Ensure all sites spare parts are properly laid out with excellent 5S and control to a standard process.
• Management of the central spare parts including the shipping of critical parts to sites when needed, the re-order of these parts and charging to the relevant sites
• Training of site managers, supervisors and technicians
• Arranging all OEM regular service visits, including post-visit reviews and closing out of the actions arising.
• Supporting the sites with technical advice or coordination when they need help.  This includes outside of normal work hours.  
• Owner of the plant SCADA and PLC systems, developing expertise and optimising the use and performance of the system.

Within this entry-level role, we will provide full on-the-job training to bring you up to speed on all aspects of data center facility management and critical infrastructure, including Cooling, Electrical, Cabling Infrastructure, Building Monitoring, and Fire systems.

Based in Macquarie Park, the purpose of this role is to support the Facility Management team with the day-to-day operations of the data centre, by providing high quality & efficient technical maintenance and customer service.

• The successful candidate will be required to work a 4 – 5 – 5 rotating shift roster with day shifts from 7am - 7pm and night shifts from 7pm - 7am.

• Delivery of cabling needs, electrical and data, to customer racks and areas

• Assist with vendor management for maintenance of all core electrical and mechanical systems
