About the Role

The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practises to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As a SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom’s endpoint customer base.

This role is open in all our Datacom offices in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney).

What you will do

As a SOE Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and Intune
• Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
• Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and W365
• Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
• Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
• Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
• Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM)
• 2 years' experience in Citrix Image Management mandatory
• Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
• Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
• Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
• Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
• Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
• Assist with projects as required
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
• Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles

What you will bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, and Virtual Desktops). You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior AWS Machine Learning Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that personalize learning experiences, predict performance outcomes, and provide real-time coaching feedback. You will be working with a stack of cutting-edge AWS technologies to create an adaptive system that integrates real-time data, predictive analytics, and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy scalable Machine Learning models using AWS SageMaker for personalized learning, predictive analytics, and performance coaching.
• Develop and manage real-time data pipelines using AWS Kinesis and AWS Glue for streaming performance data, integrating third-party data sources, and ensuring accurate data flow.
• Design, implement, and optimize natural language querying using AWS Q to allow managers and users to interact with performance data and get actionable insights.
• Use Amazon Personalize to create dynamic, personalized learning paths and recommendations for users based on their performance and activity.
• Implement emotional intelligence analysis using Amazon Rekognition and Amazon Comprehend to analyze video coaching sessions and deliver AI-driven feedback on tone, sentiment, and body language.
• Build and maintain real-time dashboards using Amazon QuickSight for visualizing performance data, coaching progress, and competition standings.
• Create serverless workflows using AWS Lambda and API Gateway to automatically trigger coaching suggestions, performance alerts, and competition rule adjustments based on real-time data.
• Work with AWS Bedrock to integrate generative AI models for creating personalized quizzes, coaching strategies, and competition challenges.
• Ensure data privacy and security across all services, managing user access with AWS IAM and maintaining compliance with best practices (GDPR, SOC2, etc.).

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Services, particularly SageMaker, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, Personalize, and QuickSight.
• Strong background in machine learning, including model training, optimization, and deployment using AWS SageMaker.
• Experience in building and managing real-time data pipelines using Kinesis and integrating large datasets using Glue or other ETL tools.
• Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with practical experience using Amazon Comprehend and Amazon Transcribe for sentiment and text analysis.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and integrating generative AI models into real-world applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with API development using API Gateway and Lambda for creating serverless, scalable APIs.
• Experience building real-time data visualizations and dashboards using Amazon QuickSight.
