The Product Manager is the go-to person for everything to do with the product, with detailed understanding of the product features and benefits, where each product fits within a farm production system, understanding of the supply chain, process through customer care, manufacturing, printing, dispatch as well as the brand management team. 

 This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of products including planning and execution of product lifecycle management, forecasting, pricing, communication of changes and working with the marketing team to improve product messages that are delivered in communications.

Initially, this role will be responsible for products within the ALLFLEX range although the range of product may change.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

• Lead the product management for the range, liaising with technical & global colleagues to understand the portfolio R&D pipeline, and champion ongoing range improvements; lead the introduction of new product and product improvements, with cross functional colleague engagement; identify gaps and opportunities within the portfolio, and champion product enhancement ideas to suit local needs with local, regional, and global colleagues. Contribute as required to internal product evaluation forums.

• Develop and execute product lifecycle management plans and actions and contribute to the development of company strategy in collaboration with the broader marketing team.

• Lead the building of budget and inventory forecasts for the portfolio, and accurately forecast major variances in sales forecasts based on industry, environmental and customer knowledge, and sales team contribution to forecasting.

• Work closely with production, demand planning and procurement operations to ensure supply continuity, effective inventory management, with a view to minimize stock obsolescence & destruction. Ensure supply constraints are clearly communicated internally and to customers.

• Lead the pricing review of the portfolio with contribution from the sales team.

• Lead development of product marketing messages to promote product benefits.  Work with brand management, digital marketing, technical, sales and customer care to ensure messages are accurate are being communicated in a clear and effective manner and help develop marketing activities.  At times this role will lead brand activation under direction of the marketing lead.

• Understand the NLIS and understand and changing trends in traceability for Australia.

• Conduct market research activities to help inform product strategies.

• Plan, coordinate and participate in trade and consumer promotional events as required.

• Remain abreast of marketing trends and innovations to maximize innovative product messaging techniques.

• Spend time with sales and technical team members in field to gain customer insights.

What You Must have

• Tertiary education in marketing, business or equivalent is essential.

• Prior product marketing experience.

• Experience managing large changing portfolios with significant numbers of UINs.

• Experience in an agriculture business, a knowledge of animal farming systems or experience in an agricultural business is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical skills required with proven experience evaluating portfolios and preparing business recommendations and strategies.

• Demonstrated experience developing and using market research and data to build marketing insights and develop product messaging.

• Experience engaging industry bodies, key opinion leaders and influencers to develop brand campaigns.

• Demonstrated experience developing and launching new products and market leading brands.

• Able to collaborate with other departments in a team setting demonstrating leadership competencies.

• Self-starter with initiative who works well in a team but with minimal supervision.

• Project management skills to initiate and complete multiple projects as required.

• A growth mindset looking for new ways of working to improve outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Operations Manager in the Marine team. This role is responsible for supporting the Marine Operations Manager with the primary focus of driving efficiency, compliance, continuous improvement and productivity within the Marine Department.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Delivering first class standards throughout the marine operations, and proactively building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders;
• Supporting the Marine Operations Manager in leading and motivating a large crew to deliver the company product, safely and efficiently;
• Facilitating all facets of workforce planning such as schedules/rosters, matrixes and crew progression;
• Managing training compliance such as VSI/VOC's, qualifications and professional development;
• Co-ordinating and overseeing compliance with permits and licenses through regulatory bodies;
• Promoting business processes and systems ensuring usage for business effectiveness;
• Assisting with the planning, management and maintenance of company vessels and pontoons, including purchasing, refurbishment and replacement; and
• Assisting with project requirements ensuring project deadlines and departmental budgets are met

You will have:

• Excellent management skills with a minimum of two years’ leadership experience in a similar role;

• Strong written and verbal communication skill set as well as presentation skills;
• Strong understanding and in depth knowledge of marine regulatory requirements;
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment; and
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating powerful written and visual content that compels prospective universities to partner with Cadmus and that drives user adoption of the Cadmus platform across current university customer accounts.

Role Responsibilities

• Content Generation (written and visual): Write and design engaging product success stories to increase Cadmus’ brand perception and understanding across EDM campaigns, blog posts and thought leadership articles with a focus on driving acquisitions.
• Graphic Design (print and digital): Own the brand direction and design of all sales and marketing collateral, company merchandise and university partner collateral.
• Social Media Management: Plan and curate monthly social media schedules, including the content production and design of all assets. Further, harness social media as a forum to foster Cadmus user communications back to the higher education sector to increase product adoption.
• Product Marketing: Launch all new product features to current users and the wider higher education market through end-to-end digital campaign conceptualisation, design, execution and feature adoption reporting.
• Lead Generation Campaign Development: Work in partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop lead generation campaigns end-to-end to support Cadmus’ user adoption growth targets, including campaign conceptualisation, stakeholder management, design and development of all print and digital assets and success reporting in line with company top-line objectives.

Professional Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design (or similar)
• 5+ years experience in a B2B marketing role
• A portfolio of graphic design work across print and digital mediums
• A portfolio of written tactical communications pieces i.e. blog articles, case studies, white papers
