The role:

In this newly created role, you will spearhead and lead our acquisition focus in the Australian and New Zealand market for our industry leading Transport Management System (TMS). It is focussed on primarily new business development, but also leverage existing large-scale accounts to grow ongoing revenue opportunities. 

Established over 18 years ago, TransVirtual is a fully integrated platform connecting agents, carriers, and logistic businesses all over the globe. Its strength is in its simplicity and scalability, as well its ability to integrate multiple carriers for a full 360-degree view of your logistics business.   

This role is of strategic importance to open pathways to introduce our technology with transport and logistics companies across Australia and New Zealand. You will have a background in sourcing new business opportunities be it over the phone and face to face; and have extensive experience with negotiating high level deals that may be complex in structure. As a business development leader, it is expected you will be relentless on the phone, building a pipeline of opportunity to see clients in person to secure their business. 

Having knowledge of the logistics industry will be a huge benefit, but most importantly your ability to understand quicky the relationships and connections to unlock deals will be paramount. Because of the nature of these partnership opportunities, networking, connecting with key decision makers and having a presence online and in person at key events will play an important role in your success.

Your key stakeholders will be our Head of Sales and General Manager.

Essential Skills / qualifications:

• 4+ years’ experience in a business development role. 
• Adept at sourcing and following up opportunities to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in managing a contact pipeline – CRM updates (we use HubSpot)
• Networking experience to connect with business owners and managers. 
• A proven talent for opening doors and negotiating strategic deals.
• Ability to think and act fast as directions change to meet sales quota

• 12 month opportunity

This position helps develop and implement multi-channel mandatory communications (cover letters, policy documentation, forms and policy schedules) to keep customers informed about their policy details throughout their lifecycle. The role works with the Customer Correspondence team and business stakeholders (Product, Legal, Compliance etc) to write and implement clear and concise mandatory communications and collateral, ensuring TAL meets our regulatory and compliance requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a broad range of roles, including volume recruitment of sales agents, customer service and retention agents. 
• Effective collaboration and relationship management with hiring managers and other key stakeholders. 
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track recruitment metrics and performance, and provide relevant insights. 
• Lead process improvement activities to enhance recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.
• Actively contribute to enhancing the Neilson Financial Services brand in the recruitment market. 
• Collaborate with various teams to understand hiring needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and execute efficiently.
• Work independently to deliver multiple high-volume recruitment projects. 
• Assist in collecting documents from new hires, managing background check documentation, and communicating with candidates. 
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition. 
• Provide support for various HR initiatives and projects as needed.
