About the role:

We are looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to provide thought leadership, planning, management, and technical design development for our customer’s and support their migration to/growth within CDC’s Data Centre Facilities. The incumbent will be a Data Centre Engineering SME and will be deployed across the business in technical discovery, customer response preparation and major change consultation.

Key responsibilities include:

•      Work with internal teams to respond to requests from customers and to respond in bid scenarios.

•      Liaise directly with customer technical teams in support of the Head of Engineering Innovation.

•      Assist with hyperscale pre-sales opportunities as required.

•      Provide advice and support to stakeholders and cross functional teams throughout the sales lifecycle.

•      Prepare data centre engineering briefing infromation to ensure alignment between key customer and or CDC Business requirements and project deliverables.

•      Collaborate with the CDC Engineering Delivery Design team to customise and configure design to meet customer specific needs.

•      Participate in the data centre engineering Concept Design phase to ensure alignment between key customer requirements and project deliverables.

•      Manage the development of key customer sales collateral.

•      Gather and relay customer feedback to appropriate parities.

•      Articulate, capture and escalate risk to the Head of Engineering Innovation. 

•      Contribute to CDC Engineering strategy regarding innovation and Data Centre Engineering best practice. 

•      Continually seek out opportunities for innovation for both CDC and its customers.

•      Grow internal networks and provide opportunities to share knowledge and improve performance.

•      Development and management of relationships alongside our Sales teams to identify, coordinate, and win business.

•      Act in an ambassadorial capacity for the company.

•      Attend and contribute to appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

•      Function as part of a team that occasionally requires work to be completed outside of normal business hours.

•      Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals and mentor and impart knowledge to junior staff.

•      Provide cultural and operational team leadership.

•      Other duties as directed from time to time.

About you:  

•      5+ years’ relevant experience in Data Centre Engineering Design with a degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years total engineering experience

•      Technical solutions experience in Data Centre engineering or critical infrastructure environments.

•      Strong experience in designing and implementing hyperscale data centre engineering developments and customer deployment solutions. 

•      Experience in optimizing and evaluating data centre engineering design for time and cost efficiency.

•      Strong understanding of Data Centre Engineering principles and industry standard design architectures.  

•      Demonstrable track record in pre-sales or post sales.

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.

Purpose of Role

• Develop and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance to support Sobi’s practices in Australia.
• Implement systems and processes to ensure that Sobi products in Australia consistently meet or exceed established quality standards.
• Lead activities related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Industry Code of Conduct and company guidelines.

Job Description:

• Oversee, manage and update the Sobi QMS in Australia, including training rollout, annual reviews and ad hoc updates as required, and on a timely basis.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to ensure the required quality standards are met; Review records and change requests on completeness, consistency, relevance and clarity;
• Review and approve GxP documents, ensuring all processes follow GxP;
• Prepare batch release documentation;
• Approve QA-controlled documentation (such as SOPs, batch records, working instructions);
• Conduct regular self-inspection activities to ensure audit readiness
• Support the development of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) and continuous improvement activities;
• The role is based in Sydney – office-hybrid, reporting to the Finance and Operation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in all matters relevant to the QMS (continuous improvement, training, etc.);
• Develop and manage company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) required by the QMS;
• QTC - Facilitate and assign related training to the affiliate employees;
• Sign relevant document after review of importation and repacking documents;
• Conduct root cause analyses, identify CAPAs, and determine product disposition to maintain the quality standards;
• Log non-conformance, change control and CAPAs into the QMS system;
• Assign to relevant stakeholder, follow up actions and closure;
• Support internal/external audits;
• Lead recall actions;
• Other projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management;

• Operate and troubleshoot multi-vendor network to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Validate problem descriptions and perform detailed problem diagnosis; track and update problems in trouble-ticketing system.
• Perform investigations into functionality that is not working as desired.
• Review, consult and prepare for planned change introduction to production environment.
• Partner with teams to plan and execute software code upgrades and device maintenance.
• Maintain automations to investigate and resolve alerts and issues on the network
• Maintain internal tools to assist with operating the network infrastructure at scale
• Provide feedback to infrastructure architects on design issues or improvements and input into the design process for new initiatives.
• Design and deploy networks based on business and technical requirements.
• Partner with project and program managers to meet overall timelines and resolution of issues.
