Position: Full Time Civil Engineer for Residential and Commercial Projects
Salary: $90,000 per annum plus Compulsory Superannuation.

Job Overview:
The Civil Engineer will be responsible to oversee all construction operation phases including planning, designing and supervising to insure delivery of project’s outcome on time and within budget restriction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To maintain a level of knowledge, professional growth, and development with all regulatory requirements in order to properly fulfill the requirements of the role.
2. Monitoring productivity rates for each activity and compare them with estimated rates to identify the percentage of profits.
3. Obtaining and following up all the NOCs requirements with the authorities and implementing their requirements.
4. Evaluation and selection of subcontractors that fits the most in the project’s parameters in matter of cost, time frame and quality.
5. Reviewing all contracts and conditions for subcontractors before signing agreements.
6. To have detailed knowledge of all important terms and conditions in any agreements with the clients that could have a financial impact on the Company.
7. Designing and analyzing structural elements based on the National Construction Code.
8. Develop and implement budgeting and financial planning strategies to optimize resource management.
9. Overseeing construction and testing to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications.
10. Reviewing all shop drawings, material approvals and method statements before execution of works to assure smooth flow of the project.
11. Preparing schedules and histograms for the project’s construction phase.
12. Reviewing all the LPOs and payment certificates for materials and subcontractors before issuing them to finance department.
13. Collaborating with other professionals such as MEP, architects, and surveyors to ensure that projects are designed and executed effectively.
14. Controlling logistics and waste management during construction phase.
15. Preparing variation order reports for any abortive works and modifications that affect the cost/time of the project.
16. To exercise sound and informed business judgment in all dealings with staff, directors, and clients.
17. To always act in a safe manner, giving due regard to the health and safety of all staff, subcontractors, visitors and members of the general public, and ensuring that all hazards, accidents or dangerous incidents are reported to the appropriate person.
18. Communicate effectively with other managers and members of the office.
19. To ensure that any staff reporting to this position, if any, receives the training and supervision that they need to carry out their duties.
20. Follow and abide by relevant Company policies and procedures, including the Company’s Corporate Governance policies.
21. To report to your immediate Manager, as assigned from time to time, any necessary changes required to update any systems or procedures, to ensure efficient workflow.
22. Staying up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field.
23. Coordinate with the Director of Capital Projects on the implementation of new building projects.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10-12 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering
• Background in engineering software programs, including ETABS, SAP2000, Primavera, MS project, and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management and budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of building Australian buildings codes
• Demonstrated leadership skills
