Seeking Site Managers to join their dynamic construction team. Reporting to the Site Construction Superintendent, responsible for Site Management, managing Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, work schedules and local engagement of resources on the construction site.
The role is a full time, permanent position based out of Adelaide or QLD. FIFO travel required working on a rotating site roster. Temporarily assigned to a Major Project working closely with a Project Manager to provide Site Management. Typical construction works include earthworks, concrete, storm water, earthing, underground conduits, structural steel and transportable building erection. Installation of mechanical, piping, electrical and control equipment.
Responsibilities:
Coordination with client representative onsite to ensure clients operations are not affected
Engagement of suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation and review of safe work method statements and JSEA's for work activities.
Carry out incident investigations, complete incident reports and corrective actions are implemented.
Planning and organising different working activities on site.
Oversee all works on site, direct employees and contractors.
Preparation, overseeing the issuing and monitoring of all work permits on site.
Safety on site of visitors, contractors and employees, Implementing inductions, safety, environment, quality plans.
Carry out site audits against the site Safety, Quality and Environmental management plans
Monitor side conditions including weather, physical conditions, workflow, work allocation, heat and UV issues that may affect personnel on site.
Ensure the plant is constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
Completion of daily diary reports and photo log via the 'Volt'. Safety statistics and reports submitted.
All site expenditure managed in line with the company Limits of Authority procedure.
Verify that personnel working onsite are appropriately trained to undertake the tasks
Fulfil the role of Operator and Site Safety Manager as required by the Petroleum and Gas Act 2004
About you:
Previous experience in similar role or position
Leadership skills to managed a site team and whilst creating a good culture
Trade background civil or mechanical ( gas, coal or energy industries)
Construction white card
Working at heights
Telehandler/ forklift licence
Knowledge and understanding of workplace Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality practices
Handle multiple tasks and demands, the ability to be calm and controlled under pressure
Supervisors licence in Victoria (S123)
Computer Literate: Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current Drivers Licence
