Roadmap Delivery Ownership

About the Opportunity:
This role will lead a suite of innovative Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) programs as part of EACH’s integrated Mental Health and AOD stream which includes residential, community-based and dual diagnosis services.

There is an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Specialist to join our dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. 

You will be responsible for driving the psychosocial risk strategy, designing and implementing psychosocial risk controls for a complex operating environment, and implementing wellbeing initiatives across the business. From reporters and journalists working in war zones to participants on reality TV shows, you will identify, develop and implement programs specific to industry in order to support a holistic and industry-leading approach to mental health and wellbeing at Nine.

What you'll Do

The primary function of this role is to work as part of a team to provide technical expertise in satellite connected networking solutions.  This role also provides networking infrastructure design, satcom system installation, commissioning, training and post-sales support to Viasat clients as part of the International Government Engineering Team.

The Solutions Specialist is a self-sufficient and self-motivated engineering professional with solution design as well as field experience, who is expected to oversee all requirements and dependencies of tasks allocated to them. This includes arranging availability of required materials, transport of equipment and materials to site where applicable, travel logistics and site access considerations, safety considerations of the task and supervision of any allocated contractors or assisting peers.

The Solutions Specialist is expected to be able to identify and adapt an existing solution design to meet customer requirements where this can be achieved using existing G2 products and services.

Solutions Specialist must also be prepared to participate in a 24/7 on-call roster for end client engineering support.  This role provides contracted telephone support to end users of mobile satellite systems and solutions as well as engineering support of the internal networking infrastructure supporting these users on a 24/7 basis.

The day-to-day

• Satellite solution hardware component configuration development, installation, commissioning and maintenance, including dependant Internal systems and customer-facing networks.
• Support and maintenance of VIG Solutions airtime systems (Legacy TC Comms DP and G2 VAR networks and applications).
• Support and maintenance of VIG Solutions internal network infrastructure (APN & SVN routers, firewalls, servers, SaaS systems and restricted / classified networks).
• Conducting diagnosis, either physically or remotely, of issues being experienced by end users with end to end solutions in order to isolate the identified cause of the incident and implement corrective maintenance strategy as agreed with the end user to return the system to service.
• Working with peer team members and line management to assist in incident analysis and underlying problem identification for escalation to solution architects or appropriate external teams.
• Provide assistance with pre-sales support activities, demonstrations and exhibitions as and when required.
• Assembly and testing of custom solutions to meet specific client needs.
• Creation of technical documentation to record as-fitted client system configuration baselines, or supporting commercial bids and proposals.
• Development and delivery of operator and technical training to partners and end user customers as required.
• Conduct, and report on the outcome of, technical skills assessments of VIG partner and end user technical staff where required.
• Conducting root cause analysis of end-to-end satellite solution issues and documenting findings.
• On site and workshop technical inspections, repairs, installations and maintenance of networking equipment, satellite terminals (aero, marine, land) and other associated hardware.
• Participation in the on-call roster.

Requirements for Success

• Recruitment and marketing brand experience (desirable but not essential)
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and search using a variety of tools and methods to attract diverse talent (both passive and active)
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining talent pipelines for key roles
• Proven track record in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• A strong communicator with relationship development experience including the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders through true partnership including hiring manager, candidates, business owners and vendors

What Does This Role Entail? 

The Helpdesk Support Specialist is the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance. This role involves providing support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring efficient resolution and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and a customer-centric approach.

Your Responsibilities  

User Support

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or helpdesk ticketing system.
• Provide first-level support by diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and basic software installations.
• Guide users through step-by-step solutions for common technical issues.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or specialized support teams as necessary.

Incident Management

• Log and track all incoming support requests in the helpdesk system.
• Prioritize and categorize issues based on severity and impact.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents according to established SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Technical Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

System Maintenance and Monitoring

User Education

Preferred:  

• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of AWS Services an advantage.
