If you’re the go-to person, the one who answers the questions, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, we have exciting new opportunities for Carpenters to join our Project Team, working a Fly-In-Fly-Out 14/7 day roster at Amrun Village in Far North Qld.
You will be a key member of the project team working on the Amrun Village Room Upgrade Project. The project involves stripping out and refurbishing the Amrun Village accommodation.
In order to be successful in this role it is essential you have a positive can-do attitude and Meet the following:
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry
- C Class Drivers License
- Commitment to Safety in the workplace
- Physically fit and able to work in diverse weather conditions
- Carpentry experience at a remote site camp, village or property maintenance
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients
- Excellent attention detail and the be able to provide professional customer service ensuring exceptional presentation to client/customer satisfaction
- Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
The applicant must be able to demonstrate appropriate skills, experience and qualifications to perform the below listed tasks:
- Door replacements
- Replacing/installing locksets
- Wall Lining replacement and repairs
- Flooring and Metal Roofing replacement and repairs - including flashings and cappings.
- Plasterboard ceiling replacements including flushing
- Carpentry replacements (Cupboards and Draws)
- Framing /Partition construction.
- Painting
You will be required to have or be able to obtain
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work - LF
- S1
- Complete RTA Site Specific Induction
Who are we looking for?
We’d love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience as an all round handyman. You will be a team player, have a can-do attitude, are flexible in your approach and always remain focused on safety and service delivery. To be successful, you’ll need a manual driver's license.
