East Arnhem Real Estate is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Cleaners. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational excellence and cleanliness of a variety of residential and commercial properties within the East Arnhem Region, including remote Aboriginal communities (Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Gunyangara, Milingimbi, Ramingining, Gapuwiyak & Galiwinku). Our cleaners play a key role in providing safe, clean, and welcoming environments for the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform deep commercial cleaning, general housekeeping, and maintenance tasks to high standards.
Use and maintain specialised cleaning equipment and supplies.
Adhere to safety practices and contribute to a safe work environment.
Possible travel to and stay within remote Aboriginal communities for specified periods.
Maintain grounds and all communal areas to reduce risk of danger or injury to persons using grounds and facilities.
Maintain records and inventories of equipment and supplies. Order equipment and supplies as needed, within budget with approval.
Maintain safe conditions and safe working practices within all the facilities. Contribute to a safe and healthy by identify and reporting potential health, fire and safety hazards.
Notify, undertake or organise and oversee maintenance and repairs.
Undertake further tasks as reasonably required from time to time.

Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
No specific industry skills or certifications are required for this role. All necessary training will be provided to successful applicants.

Work Conditions and Benefits:
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM.
Pay: Cleaning Services Award [MA000022], including overtime and penalty rates where applicable.
Benefits: 4 weeks of annual leave and 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Opportunities for upskilling and training will be provided.
Expected Start Date: 1 April 2024
