The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions and client billing.

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
• Prepare and process all resident billing, ensuring that accounts are accurate and timely
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues, including client liaison.
• Facilitate payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients (debt collection) Estate management and arrangement of refunds.
• Ensure all resident movements are accurately recorded to enable the correct calculation of resident fees and charges
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
• Reconcile all expected funding to the monthly Medicare Payment Statements and follow-up variances
• Other duties as required by the organisation from time to time in accordance with the skills and competencies of the employee.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Knowledge of accounts receivable.
• Experience within aged care.
• Knowledge of basic accounting functions and software.
• Proficient use of technology including MS Outlook, Excel, Aim, and Inerva.
• Ability to analyse and problem solve issues autonomously.
• Proficient in data entry and management.
• 1-3 years accounts receivable or general accounting experience.

About the role

The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital in Tasmania and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania School of Medicine. The Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM) provides a tertiary level service, providing care for >1,400 patients annually.  The DCCM provides complex and multidisciplinary care to a broad range of patients including cardiac and cardio-thoracic surgery; extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), neurosurgery, trauma, vascular surgery, burns, complex obstetrics and general medical and surgical.

**The Position**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and optimistic individual to join our kitchen team.

As a Pastry Chef, you will play an integral part of the kitchen team in the day to day operations of the kitchen. Being a seasonal business, the team is small during downturn but increases during season. We will be pivotal in designing the bread, pastry and desert menu's, kitchen planning, purchasing etc.

In addition to this you will be required to:
- lead through example as it relates to safe food handling, kitchen hygiene and cleanliness;

Lake St Clair Lodge is located in central Tasmania, approximately 2 hours from Hobart. Located on the shores of Australias deepest lake inside the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, the property has a long history and is an ideal stop for day travellers to/from the west coast, as well as weekend or overnight escapes for couples and families.

Due to our location, this role would not be suitable for anyone with school aged children. Having your own car would also be an asset to your enjoyment and living within this globally significant area.
