What you’ll be doing each day

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and diagnosing health conditions in pets.
• Performing routine surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Administering vaccinations and prescribing appropriate medications.
• Providing expert guidance on preventive health care, nutrition, and wellness.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
• Collaborating with our veterinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from any interested Young Person from a consortium agencies Youth Reference Group or a young person that is passionate and understands the needs of young people in the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire.

The headspace consortia are made up of agencies and staff from the four headspace streams (Mental Health, AOD, Primary Health, and Work & Study) and key stakeholders from the region.

The Consortia meets five times a year, currently occurring on a Friday between 10:00am -12:00pm, online via Zoom. The Chair position is reviewed every 12 months.

The preferred candidate will have support and mentorship from Dean McCaughan (EACH Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Services Manager) and Marty Leahy (Headspace Casey Cardinia Service Manager) as a part of the role. Members of the Consortium are also willing and eager to provide their support to the roles as well. Are you passionate about promoting mental health awareness, engaging with youth, and making a difference in the community? Join headspace as a Community Engagement Coordinator and play a key role in developing impactful strategies and programs to support young people's mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the centre management team to create and implement a Community Awareness Strategy for headspace Narre Warren and headspace Pakenham
• Design and coordinate events to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote early help-seeking behaviours
• Work closely with staff to ensure seamless planning and execution of campaigns, allowing clinical staff to manage increased referrals effectively
• Utilize social media and maintain websites to engage youth and promote headspace services

About you 
To excel in this position, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, skills & experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Development, Social/Behavioural Science, Social work/Planning, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working with young people with mental health, AOD, and other social issues

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation with EACH being one of the lead agencies. Each year, we help thousands of young people, and their family and friends, access vital support through our headspace services in over 145 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools. 

This Part time position is a Business Development Consultant role, and is customer centric, focused on nourishing and building our current NDIS client database within EACH. You will enjoy building strong partnerships with new and transitioning customers. As the first point of call, you will be guiding new and existing customers through the framework of EACH to receive our NDIS related services.

As a highly motivated team player in the way you engage and retain your customers, working in the NDIS field, you will become a Master of explaining our services in detail to our customers, being very well organised you can engage a wide audience including community stakeholders.  The person we are looking for also has community-based disability, mental health or early childhood intervention experience or experience in a related field.

Ideally you will bring strong knowledge of the NDIS system and be comfortable in working towards regular KPI’s.

Your day will include constant communication with NDIS customers, obtaining the correct customer information and relevant compliance documents.  You will onboard and configure their plans using CARELINK+ to make sure all customer financials are clearly established within their service agreements for new and renewing customers.
