With a strong and supportive foundation, we provide career advancement opportunities alongside competitive salaries and an unparalleled workplace culture.  Who we’re looking for We’re searching for a natural leader with a love for hospitality, a knack for creating memorable experiences and a thorough understanding of hostel operations.  You’re operationally minded and will lead your team of hosts and housekeepers in a hands-on way, showing them how it’s done whilst instilling confidence and developing their skillset, encouraging them to grow.  You'll play a key role in shaping the identity of our newly refurbished hostel, making it a standout in Bondi's vibrant hospitality scene.  Apply in the usual way and we look forward to speaking with you.  BenefitsTask & Responsibilities ? Oversee day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, guest and team satisfaction, cleanliness, and budget adherence. ? Manage room inventory, including allocation and reservations, to maximise occupancy and revenue. ? Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance. ? Lead and support the team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. ? Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. ? Monitor and analyse guest feedback and online reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. ? Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring a welcoming and hospitable environment. ? Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely room turnovers and address any maintenance issues, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. ? Oversee the implementation of safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff. ? Prepare and manage the hostel budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across all departments and adherence to financial targets. ? Maintain accurate records of room occupancy, rates, and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies. ? Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures across all areas of the hostel. ? Foster a positive team culture that aligns with our values. Qualification & Experience ? At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry. ? Proven experience in managing hostel operations, teams, guest services, and room inventory. ? Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. ? Strong understanding of budget management and financial oversight. ? Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. ? Experience in handling guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively. ? Strong organisational and time management skills. ? Knowledge of safety and security protocols within a hospitality setting. ? Proficiency in using property management systems; experience with MEWS is desirable. ? Prior experience in a hostel environment is highly desirable. ? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. ? Ability to adapt and respond to a dynamic work environment.
