We’re looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our Sodexo site-based team on a FIFO 8/6 roster, supporting various villages. This is a permanent full-time position and an ideal opportunity for someone who has 2 or more years in the industry to date. 

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will work closely to support site-based personnel across all Sodexo functions. You will conduct audits and risk assessments alongside client-driven Health and Safety activities, and undertake projects as required by the portfolio.  

Your responsibilities will also include: 

• Undertaking incident investigations and providing follow up reports 
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines (training provided) 
• Providing safety training, mentoring and coaching to Sodexo onsite personnel 
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing systems, policies and procedures  
• Promoting and contributing to a positive safety culture at site 
• Contributing to toolbox sessions and pre-start meetings

·        An interest in tech is desirable, but no experience necessary, all initial and ongoing training paid for

·        Retail or customer service experience desirable but not essential

·        Availability some Tuesdays and Fridays, other days flexible

·        A current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle – must have own car (paid kms)

·        Confident and enthusiastic personality. Strong communication and organisational skills, a good relationship builder.
