Based at our new GMP Manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Australia, reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for the management and supervision of all calibration works on GMP/non-GMP process and support equipment. This position will also lead troubleshooting, investigations, and reliability engineering for GMP/non-GMP process and support equipment instrumentation. This position will be the first responder to instrument and electrical equipment issues and must follow through to ensure resolution by either self-performing the work or directing the activities of service providers.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Management and coordination with end-user groups of routine and non-routine calibration work orders using the computerized maintenance management system.

• Specification, fabrication, procurement, installation, engineering start-up, and validation activities of new equipment and systems coordination.

• Developing remediation for follow-up and emergency work to support deviations, corrective actions, and related issues.

• Acting as the Metrology subject matter expert for change management assessments, deviation, and CAPA management.

• Developing and revising metrology procedures and approved practices.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Participation in reliability-centered calibration programs for assets under their responsibility, development of calibration budgets, spares recommendations, and quality metrics.

• Participation in internal and external audits.

• Management of all Calibration Standards and Buffers to ensure accuracy and ongoing compliance with calibration activities.

• Maintenance of cGMP records, both paper-based and electronic.

• Provision of "on-call" support on a rotating basis and response to facilities issues as needed.

• Expertise in the proper storage, handling, and usage of calibration standards and buffers.

• Advanced understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Familiarity with GMP standards, quality management system processes and regulatory standards.

• Demonstrated understanding and management of regulatory requirements (TGA, FDA, EMA etc.)

• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation, electrical systems and equipment used throughout the facility.

• Understanding of how to validate equipment and systems to ensure they are working as intended.

• Knowledge of electrical safety practices in the pharmaceutical industry, including handling of hazardous materials and electrical safety.

• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience to schedule and track maintenance activities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) are required.  Expected to be able to present own work to peers and cross-functional managers and influence leadership decisions.  Technical writing skills required.

• Must have a customer service mindset. Ability to manage competing priorities is critical.

About Us

The Clayton Adult Emergency Department provides tertiary emergency services for adult patients across Southeast Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. Once fully commissioned, the adult emergency department will have 75 treatment spaces, including six resuscitation cubicles, eight isolation rooms and a 20-bed adult short stay unit.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Hand Therapist for a full time permanent ongoing role. An exciting project initiated by the Department of Health being undertaken by Monash Health, the Adaptive Hand Therapy Clinic will provide evidence-based and effective intervention for patients with specified hand conditions that respond well to non-surgical treatment, thereby enabling increased numbers of people to be removed from surgical waiting lists. Clinical teaching is a core activity, involving staff supervision and active support of student placements. Join our team as a Director of Clinical Operations on a fulltime Monday-Friday, ongoing position, to work at based from Monash Children's Hospital, supporting across multiple sites of Monash Health. Reporting to the Program General Manager, and as a key member of the Program Leadership team, the Director Clinical Operations (DCO) will be accountable for the clinical, professional and financial performance of the Newborn Services, ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality, effective and efficient patient care.

With operational support from Nurse/Midwifery Managers and clinical teams, the DCO will actively foster an environment of evidence based practice and will play a lead role in promoting, building and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. The position has a requirement to travel across our Monash Health sites as you support the Services at Clayton, Dandenong, Casey hospital and Sandringham Hospital.

Your experience in senior nursing/midwifery management roles has enabled you to build a track record of success. Your achievements include professional leadership of a significant clinical workforce within a large, complex healthcare organisation.

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

knowledge of and experience in implementing governance frameworks
experience leading clinical areas through accreditation processes
an understanding of healthcare financial systems and budgets, including revenue and cost drivers
understanding of relevant legislative, statutory and industrial frameworks
clear thinking and problem solving capability, and proven ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems
strong project management and data analysis skills
strategic thinking capability combined with a “can do” approach
You are an excellent communicator, with highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively across a wide range of stakeholders. Each DCO role requires significant relevant nursing or midwifery experience. You are likely to hold postgraduate qualifications in a relevant chosen field, or you are working towards attaining them.
