Catholic Healthcare has a new strategy and a new senior opportunity for a dynamic and experienced educator with a holistic view of Spiritual Wellbeing to join our Mission Team. 

Reporting to the Chief of Mission Integration, you will be responsible for integrating and supporting Mission programs and services across the organisation to facilitate the positive spiritual wellbeing of all residents and clients aligned with our Mission and Values and building and maintaining trusted relationships and partnerships within the Catholic Community.  

Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, together with your natural partnering ability, will aid your success in this integral position.

Your role will include:

• Promoting and supporting Wellbeing programs, guiding, and supporting the Pastoral Care/Spiritual Wellbeing team members across all service streams to facilitate holistic spiritual wellbeing in line with the Mission Integration Strategic Plan
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with the Catholic Community to facilitate our new strategy initiative - catholic Connected Communities
• Actively contributing to the development and delivery of Spiritual Wellbeing programs and services

The ideal applicant is a visionary with a proactive and organised approach, highly effective communication skills, and the ability to influence and confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in religious education, pastoral care, theology, pastoral counseling, psychology, chaplaincy, or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to engage and manage people, build relationships, and problem-solve
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in the provision of spiritual /pastoral care services
• Spiritual maturity and ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs, and practices
• Ability to lead and adapt in response to change
• Ability to engage and participate in complex discussions and decision-making
• Understanding of the Catholic tradition, sacraments, and liturgical life of the Catholic Church
• Understanding the spiritual journey within the ageing process providing for the inclusion and valuing of all people
• Ability to provide evidence of Covid 19 Immunisations
• Drivers Licence - some travel across NSW required with this position

What Will You Do?

You’ll motivate and develop a diverse team of engineers whilst ensuring target project deliverables are achieved safely within the agreed time, budget, and levels of quality. You will:

• manage and provide expertise on engineering technical design, project engineering, and project management
• support and manage the personal and professional development of a diverse engineering team
• coordinate the engineering requirements to meet the medium to long-term department equipment and engineering plans.
• oversee the capital projects within the Energy Services department
• provide engineering support to maintenance, operations, and other engineering disciplines to deliver solutions that maintain and sustain a safe and reliable plant
• supervise the design development process and ensure design solutions comply with codes, standards and statutory requirements
• participate in the maintenance budget preparation and monitoring for all engineering activities

More About You

Along with your technical and leadership skills, you’ll have experience in applying your analytical skills to address process performance. You will also bring:

• a tertiary degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar
• a commitment to the safety and well-being of yourself and others
• experience working in a similar heavy industry (e.g. Power Generation)
• developed communication and influencing skills with the ability to build constructive and effective relationships
• the ability to prioritise work, troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively and efficiently with a hands-on approach
