About the business
Our Trades Service team are seeking a dedicated Commercial Carpenter/Handyperson with experience in building services maintenance to assist our contract and facilities managers, providing excellent customer service on behalf of our clients.
The successful applicant will be supplied with a fully maintained service vehicle, attractive rates, phone, uniform and the security of working for a growing global company with a long trade services history.
About the role
We currently have a full-time position for an experienced Carpenter/Handyman in the Brisbane area. As a member of the Facilities Service team, you will be reporting into the State Service Manager, where your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Undertake urgent, routine and ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, inspections on the client’s premises and equipment as directed by the company.
Review and comment on any instructions and standard operating procedures for handyman services supplied by Cushman & Wakefield Services.
Participate and take an active role when new equipment items are transferred from Projects to Maintenance.
Ensure effective Key Performance Indicators are managed effectively including response times, safety, compliance, and financial performance of all job numbers assigned to you.
Promote working in a team environment with work colleagues.
Utilise the mobility solution to retrieve work order details and enter and complete all historical information within the system.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position you will bring previous experience in a similar environment. Minimum requirements include:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Carpentry/Handyman background in a Commercial, Domestic or Corporate environment.
Relevant current Trade Qualification – Carpentry and Building
Have current appropriate qualifications and training to issue or receive required work permits e.g. but not limited to Working at Heights, EWP.
Experience with OH&S, Risk Management, Environmental Management or Quality Assurance systems.
Ensure adherence to all legal requirements associated with the role including, but not limited to, The Trade Practices Act, Legislation, Fair Trading Act, Contract and Employment Law
Valid manual Driver’s Licence
