What you’ll do 

In your new role, as a Financial Viability Analyst, your key focus will be to use your financial analysis, credit & liquidity analysis, and data management skills to collect and analyse financial statements, provide recommendations, and prepare evidence based assessment reports for our customers on organizations tendering for a range of contracts. This will utilise your financial literacy & numeracy skills, as well as your ability to analyse financial statements and assign assessment scores and rating based on financial capabilities.

You will prepare evidence based reports that identify key issues and insights and make recommendations, so strong report writing and presentation skills are essential.

Using your strong stakeholder management skills, you will build rapport with external senior stakeholders in the Government and Private sectors to obtain key information such as report requirements, financial statements, assessment scope and any additional queries. You can demonstrate your time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and performance targets.

In addition, you will keep abreast of industry developments to ensure you are familiar with the business drivers, dynamics, macro-economic environment and challenges across a range of markets. 

What experience do you need? 

●  Degree qualifications in Accounting or Finance, ideally supported with CPA, CA or CFA Qualifications

● Corporate experience in financial services & banking domain preferred

● Commercial experience in accounting and financial statement and financial & credit analysis

● Understanding of risk management and mitigation

● Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets

Overall Purpose of the Job

To manage and plan the pickup/delivery resources of the TGE Palletised Express Branch located at Altona North. The role will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Supervisors / Fleet Manager to ensure the safety, operational and financial performance of the transport operation. The overall performance will be dependent on the Fleet Controller maintaining systems and standards to ensure compliance with the TGE way.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate driver workforce planning and execute the day-to-day pickup/delivery tasks and maintaining customer expected DIFOT

• Support the operation on a day-to-day basis by making operational decisions based on the overall business objectives and coordinating available resources to ensure cost effectiveness

• Learn other functions of the fleet office to support the TGE Palletised Express Fleet team when others are absent

• Ensure all staff on site are appropriately inducted and trained by coordinating with the onsite compliance coordinator to ensure all staff have been trained appropriately before commencing duties

• Co-ordinate with other fleet controllers, general pickups and delivery requirements on an ADHOC basis with OSH partners

• Ensure that all administration systems, procedures and policies are understood and followed so as to ensure integrity of the financial reporting system and protection of the Company’s legal/financial and statutory position.

• Be responsible for providing daily reporting to TGE Intermodal customer base regarding delivery/pickup performance

• Maintain a basic understanding and working knowledge of all legislative compliance requirements (inclusive of environmental) that impact the business (training will provided where required)

• Ensure that site WHS is adhered to by conducting regular safety conversations, toolbox meeting, identifying and escalating hazards

• Ensuring appropriate use of driver TDA units to accurately track driver fatigue and movements

• Incident Management System – ensure preliminary incident reporting is entered in TRAC within a 24 hour period and escalated appropriately

• Work closely with the Fleet Supervisors / Manager to ensure service issues are rectified in a timely manner and provide support to the customer where required to ensure strong execution of service.

• inEight Document (Teambinder) admin and support
• Control of documents including design drawings, specifications, calculations, lists, data sheets, vendor data

About You/ the Role 

We are seeking a proactive individual with previous experience in an inventory controller role in a multi-site environment to deliver accurate and disciplined inventory control processes. In this role, you will be required to consult and liaise with internal staff and the wider operations team to ensure connected processes through the supply chain, purchasing and production functions. This will in turn ensure the functions can trust physical inventory to align with system records.  

You will optimise warehouse operations through inventory and ERP based analysis and control, ensuring the highest level of inventory data integrity of product-related information, evaluating, and recommending changes to current and future system requirements to meet organisational needs across multiple facilities. 

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Ensure high levels of product availability, and inventory to support and meet customer expectations 
• Ensure inventory accuracy commitments and own KPI monitoring/updates 
• Implement inventory control regimes and manage the full and cycle count/physical inventory process to assure accuracy 
• Ensure all product is accurately recorded by location and all physical transactions are accompanied by a system record at the time of movement 
• Maintain records and product labelling discipline when receiving, storing, issuing production orders, and dispatching product 
• Establish and maintain excess product returned from production orders or through credit/quality process 
• Provide relevant reporting and documentation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis 
• Support and maintain ERP stock management system across multiple operation sites within the Business Unit 
• Accurately manage stock control to deliver objectives and service level targets 
• Investigate all discrepancies and issues within pre-determined time frames 
• Provide training and guidance to warehouse officers on effective control of inventory 
• Assist in effective storage solutions to maximise warehouse efficiency including storage of product to minimise travel time

Requirements

• Degree qualified with minimum 2-4 years’ experience in public practice
• CPA or CA qualified
• This role can require some travel to our clients businesses. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle on weekdays is required
• Experience working with small business clients
• Proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and review the work of junior staff
