HAYS is recruiting a Financial Controller for a prestigious not-for-profit organisation! Your new company Your new organisation is a not-for-profit based in South Melbourne. Your new role As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and corporate reporting requirements. The position reports directly to the CFO and manages a small finance team. See your responsibilities below:
Oversee production and review of monthly P& L and balance sheet
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
Provide informed and strategically oriented analysis of wages and salary costs
Financial modelling and analysis
Prepare financial statements - including board and audit, statutory accounts
Management of milestone forecasts for public and private funding grants, including reporting and acquittal
Supervise end to end payroll process
Continuous process and operation improvement
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications in accountancy, plus Chartered or CPA certification
Previous experience as a Financial Controller within a complex organisation
Experience and confidence in managing regulatory, compliance and reporting matters within both the commercial and not-for-profit domains
Ability to translate complex financial concepts
Opened to candidates from different industry backgrounds
