About the Job

This role will contribute to managing financial crime risks and regulatory compliance obligations at Rest. It includes triaging, investigate and resolving any unusual behaviour relating to financial crime matters including Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions, Fraud, Scams, Bribery and Corruption. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Investigate, resolve and respond to financial crime escalations received from the fund administrator or from within Rest (i.e. Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening and Unusual Activity reports);
• Gather and record required evidence to support reasonable grounds for suspicion of a financial crime (i.e., money laundering/ terrorism financing activities or organised crime) and articulate key recommendations;
• Escalate potential regulatory reporting matters and potential breaches (as required) to the AML/CTF compliance officer;
• Manage financial crime enquiries and escalations;
• Identify, manage and deliver continuous improvement opportunities, including policies and procedures;
• Deliver key financial crime processes in line with service, quality and compliance expectations.
• Maintain a current understanding of predicate crimes, money laundering and terrorist financing typologies, including changes to legislation and regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends;
• Facilitate financial crime training and awareness, and
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internal and external;

We are looking for a Business Analyst with expertise in Financial Crime for a project-based role. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business requirements, processes, and systems related to financial crime.

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst specifically in the Financial Crime domain
• Strong understanding of financial crime regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Experience in conducting workshops and facilitating requirements gathering sessions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of financial crime systems and technologies is a plus
• Relevant certifications in financial crime domains are preferred

What does a Financial Accountant at Warakirri Asset Management do?

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our finance team, based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model (2 days in the office). This is a 12-month Max Term Contract. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a keen desire to growth and develop their own career.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of General Ledger and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Stock takes reconciliations
• Grain income and property valuation reconciliations
• Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset register to GL
• Preparation of monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation and completion of quarterly unit statements and distribution calculations
• Assist with workflow and completion of tasks required by the finance team in order to meet its deliverables
• Any other tasks as required to deliver outstanding investor service.
• Build and maintain strong professional working relationships with key stakeholders including corporate team members, farm managers, and external suppliers

Adhering to anti-money laundering (AML) legislation by conducting customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring is an integral part of our business.

As Financial Crime Operations Officer, you will manage customer onboarding, address financial crime escalations, conduct ongoing monitoring and enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD), and take proactive measures to prevent fraud and safeguard CoinJar's customers.

This full-time role is on a 12-month contract with the potential to move to permanent, offering a hybrid work arrangement between our Melbourne CBD office and your home.

Responsibilities

• Review and conduct KYC and ECDD for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSF
• Review and action watchlist alerts
• Review and action alerts to detect and prevent suspicious activities in accordance with the AML legislation
• Assist with lodging suspicious matter reports to AUSTRAC
• Action Financial Crime related escalations from CoinJar Support and the wider CoinJar team
• Assist the Senior Manager of Financial Crime Operations as necessary

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• An understanding of KYC and ECDD processes
• Strong analytical mindset
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• Provide a first-class service through to resolution within agreed SLAs
• Document and maintain accurate records of support activities and troubleshooting
• Assist in investigating, analysing and resolving hardware problems including performing hardware repairs, maintenance, technical assistance and support on all computing equipment and peripherals
• Carry out activities related to user account management such as creating, changing and deleting user accounts
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network and printers
• Provide remote and on-site support as required by the business
