To be a successful candidate for this role, it is essential that you meet the following criteria;
• At least 2 years relevant working experience
• Hold or be actively working towards a Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent as recognized by
• licensing authorities
• Current First Aid qualification
• Child protection clearance eg Working with Children check
• Appropriate skills, knowledge and training in food safety and hygiene

Salary: $63,000 per annum.

Job Description:
The company is looking for a full-time experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their growing team in Goulburn NSW. As a sheet metal worker, you will be working as part of a team on the workshop floor, and you’ll be marking, cutting, shaping, forming, and joining sheet metal, manufacturing flashings to specifications, fabricating other metal products etc.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Read and interpret drawings to determine project requirements and materials.
Working with materials such as stainless steel, steel, zinc, aluminium, gall and pipework.
Marking out metal sheets.
Operate sheet metal related plant and equipment such as guillotines, folders, rolling machines.
Operating laser cutter and other metal drills to cut metal stock to template/guidelines.
· Use of various machine tools and hand tools used in the manufacturing process.

· Collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve production targets and maintain efficiency.

· Finishing components into final products with spot/MIG welding, and other methods of joining, etc.

· Ensuring OH&S regulations are complied with at all times.

Completed trade certificate or have 3+ years of relevant experience.
Relevant products and industry knowledge.
Previous experience with AMADA sheet metal fabrication machines is advantageous, not not required.
Desirable, but not essential, to have experience operating a CNC press brake.

THE ROLE:
Responsible for the manufacturing of metal parts and products through the process of metal casting. Plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of cast metal products, and their work is essential in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and manufacturing.

? $65,000-$90,000 PA depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
? Prepare Molds: Set up and prepare molds, cores, and patterns for casting, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
? Melting and Pouring: Operate and monitor furnaces, kilns, or other melting equipment to melt metal, and then pour the molten metal into molds.
? Quality Control: Inspect castings for defects, such as cracks or air bubbles, and make necessary adjustments to the casting process to ensure high-quality products.
? Material Handling: Handle and transport raw materials, including metals and casting sands, to the production area, and ensure proper storage and organization.
? Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on casting equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.
? Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
? Finish and Trim Castings: Remove excess material, such as gates and risers, from castings, and grind or polish surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
? Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, including the number of castings
produced and any quality issues encountered.
? Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members, such as supervisors, engineers, and quality control inspectors, to achieve production goals and resolve any issues.

THE PERSON:
? Previous experience in metal casting or a related field is required.
? Knowledge of various casting processes, including sand casting, or die casting.
? Familiarity with the use of casting equipment, such as furnaces, molds, and casting tools.
? Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot defects in castings.
? Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
? Basic knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
? Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
