Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, we are now seeking applications from enthusiastic, experienced Civil Structures Engineer to join our NSW Infrastructure team 

Your Role 

The Sydney Underground Structures team is a leader in the design of underground structures including cut and cover tunnels, retaining wall, foundations and other civil structures in the NSW market. With a growing pipeline of work across a range of different projects and sectors, we are seeking a mid-level Civil Structures Engineer to join our underground structures team and provide expertise to our projects.  

The role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression within a dynamic and vibrant team to deliver sustainable outcomes and client service excellence.  With focus on underground structures design, this role would suit someone seeking to be the interface between structural and geotechnical design with a solid understanding of both disciplines, or an interest in adapting their existing skills in one discipline while developing new skills in the other.     

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’. 

• Work as part of a team to undertake the design of underground and civil structures at all design stages from early concept development to final construction issue and construction support 
• Perform detailed soil structure interaction analysis on a variety of structures and engage with the wider design team to ensure the developed design solutions address the project requirements and are integrated with other design disciplines 
• Collaborate with our digital modellers to produce drawings and models which capture the information requirements of our projects and clearly describe these requirements to the client and contractors. 

What can you bring to the team?  

The preferred candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Structural / Geotechnical / Civil Engineering with around 5 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to the structural design of underground / civil structures.   Your career to date will have included: 

• Relevant experience in the design and documentation of retaining structures, deep shafts, cut and cover tunnels and/or reinforced soil and rock construction. 
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards, TfNSW specifications and structural and/or geotechnical analysis software  
• Experience in successfully working in a consultancy setting as part of project teams with both internal and external clients. Experience in transport work sectors preferred 
• Interest in further developing existing skills in both structural and geotechnical engineering 
• Ability to apply technical design skills to ensure solutions are safe, efficient and meet quality requirements 
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment and in communicating concepts/ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders 
• A passion to engage in the creative and innovative development of digital engineering technology

• Join our Performance & Observability team as the go-to Observability expert.

What we are looking for

A Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will help build both a consumer facing React Native app, and the backing service, that gives Australians a better, more sustainable way to get receipts. The Opportunity:

As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day engineering and logistics activities in accordance with our clients’ engineering management system. You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining infrastructure systems for a number of Symbio business segments as well as uplifting our existing core tech stack. You will focus on driving infrastructure automation and ensure our deployments are resilient and repeatable across development and production environments. You will focus on driving on-prem and cloud (AWS) based initiatives within your team that enable modern engineering practices for the entire technology department. You will work collaboratively with Delivery, Software and Network teams in delivering systems and services as well as ensuring we understand the health of our systems at any point in time to reduce outages.

You will be responsible for solutioning, implementing and supporting infrastructure projects both on-prem and in the cloud to enable Systems Engineering and a number of Symbio business segments to deliver services effectively. Help us modernize our tech stack by advocating fit for purpose solutions and enhance the way we work by ensuring our systems are healthy and resilient.

After hours support

There is an expectation that this role is part of the teams after hours support roster (level 3), which is rotated weekly for production critical platforms. We also understand that we as a team need to do everything we can to ensure resilient and self healing platforms and engineering leadership will provide the time to make sure we do.

You will work closely with Games Designers to collaborate in the development of gameplay systems. This may involve work related to Game Modes, Metagame Systems and Back-End Systems.

• Define and develop prototypes in collaboration with the Design team
• Participate in the architecture, design and implementation of the gameplay code following the Game Design intentions
• Work within the constraints of the existing game engine to meet performance and quality benchmarks
• Look for innovative tools and techniques allowing to achieve the best gameplay quality possible
• Interface with all disciplines (game designers, animators, programmers,...) to ensure that the constraints are well integrated in the game development

About the Role (your why)

Working as a Desktop Support Engineer you will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of Desktop Services to a key Datacom customer. About the Role

As Systems Engineer - Linux, your role is to manage and maintain the Linux/Unix server environment and to provide proactive and reactive support services.
