About the Accounts Officer Role:

As the Aviation Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for capturing, preparing and reconciling flight information for the purpose of financial accruals and reporting. The role also incorporates the processing of invoices and credit claims for both internal and external suppliers and customers. Other responsibilities include the maintenance of charter flight costings and working with other departments to minimise revenue leakage and to maximise profitability for the business.

What you’ll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):

• Accounts Payable duties will make up about two thirds of your duties (circa 150 invoices a month)
• Preparing reports on flight data, debtors balances, fuel pricing, fuel surcharges, aircraft capacity utilization, and freight volumes etc.
• Analysis of reports
• Accounts Receivable
• Reconciliations
• Assis the Commercial Manager to achieve accurate and timely completion of month end financial results

What you’ll bring to the role:

• At least 1+ years experience working in a similar role (AP, AR, Invoicing etc.)
• Attention to detail is imperative, as dealing with often complicated multi-million-dollar invoices
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal
• Oracle EBS software experience (desirable/not essential)

About the role

• This opening is for a Customer Service / Admin Officer to join our team in Mackay

• This is a Full time, Permanent Role. The working hours for this role are 9:00 – 17:06.  

• Utilise our systems to complete administration and data entry tasks

• Manage customer and client freight queries across multiple divisions within our Mackay Depot

• Handle each customer interaction with empathy and resilience, adapting to diverse needs and situations.

• Educate customers on how to use our self-service platforms effectively.

• Liaise with on site operations staff in order to resolve any customer queries or requests in a timely manner

• Data Entry of timesheet hours, rostering and payroll data into our systems and spreadsheet trackers

• Prioritise your work effectively and efficiently throughout the day and complete tasks in a timely manner

• Maintain staff, training and compliance databases where required

• Order in Uniforms and Stationery where necessary

• Manage various spreadsheet trackers, reports and other compliance documents in order to cleanse, update and maintain them on a regular basis
