The Team

The End User Compute team consists of deployed engineers to customer sites and roaming technicians. The team have a strong technical background and can sufficiently handle most technical requests that an end user may log. Success is measured by customer feedback and leading indicators of support health including the age of open tickets.

The Role

As Customer Experience Engineer you will provide end user support for all technology issues and request that are escalated by the customer service analysts. You will ensure customer service agreements are met and provide a single point of contact for ownership of escalated requests and issues. The role will be based in our Sydney office and at our main client’s office in Port Botany, NSW.

Your core responsibilities will consist of:

• Ensuring all policies, procedures and work instructions are followed in the interests of customer satisfaction and contractual obligations in agreed hours.
• Resolve incidents and requests within SLA.
• Escalate to 3rd party support/ vendors where appropriate.
• Initiate and complete problem diagnosis & produce recommendations.
• Produce KBA’s (Knowledge based articles) to enable the Service Desk Analysts to close more cases.
• Enforcing and reviewing process to ensure documentation is current and to initiation escalation as required.
• Implement authorised changes.
• Diagnosing issues and provide solutions, utilising knowledge entries where possible.
• Maintaining accurate ICT spares inventory.
• Providing remote diagnostic troubleshooting and checks for customer incidents.

You’ll spend your days building and maintaining the products and features that help make Chuffed the preferred crowdfunding platform for the biggest direct action groups in the world.

1. Lead the development team in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality applications.

8. Work with stakeholders to assess feasibility and deliverability of solutions
9. Understand the business context of development initiatives to align technology solutions with organisational objectives.

• You have proven experience as a Senior Developer in a Laravel environment.

• You have in-depth knowledge of PHP 8 and Laravel 10, with a strong understanding of modern PHP development best practices.

About the Role

Due to continued growth within our team, we have multiple roles across Australia. Working as a Desktop Support Engineer you will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of Desktop Services to a key Datacom customer. Aligned to our customers business requirements, we provide tailored maintenance services, hardware and software break/fix support, remote support, software deployment and relocation services.

The locations of our offices for these roles are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. These roles are based in the customer or Datacom offices. What you’ll do

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be accountable for, but not limited to:

• Providing excellent technical support in a high-paced environment where customer satisfaction is paramount
• Assisting new users with their IT hardware collection and setup.
• Ensuring new equipment, such as Laptops and Mobile phones, are up to date and deployment ready prior to release to customers
• Recording all customer contacts in the appropriate ITSM tool
• Keeping customers updated with regards to their tickets
• Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs
• Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed
• Initiate and drive service and process improvement
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (EG: Change/release)

A Day in the Life

The Missing Link Security Operations Centre provides 24x7 Managed Services (MS) support to our clients across a variety of sectors. Day-to-day you will be responsible for the monitoring, troubleshooting and L1 & L2 support for market-leading security technologies such as CyberArk, Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint, Proofpoint & more. You will also collaborate with our Security Architects, Engineers and clients to facilitate the transition from implementation project to managed service.

While most work will be supporting our clients during their hours of operation, you will also be required to assist the Senior SOC Engineers in responding to incidents. As well as working closely with our MDR Team to respond to and defend against malicious activity targeting our clients.

We believe in investing in and developing our people through a variety of training and education programs. When you first come on board, you’ll be given a structured training and development plan that is tailored to you and your previous experiences. This will include a combination of industry qualifications as well as vendor-specific certifications specific to your role.

The position can be based out of our Sydney or Melbourne offices.

Essential

• 1+ years of experience working with IT systems, networking and/or security technologies
• 0.5 - 1+ years experience working within a Managed Service Provider or similar role
• Hands-on security knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix platforms
• Hands-on experience with one or more NGFW, EDR, PAM SWG, SEG
• Exposure to On-Prem, Virtualised and Cloud Security Technologies

• Understanding of MPLS/SD-WAN, Network Segmentation, URL Filtering and Deep Packet Inspection
• A demonstrated knowledge of IT security controls, OSI Model and TCP IP Stack
• Certifications – CompTIA Network +, Cisco CCNA or similar courses

Desirables

• 1+ Year of experience working in a NOC or as a Network Engineer

• You are self-motivated and operations focussed with a keen eye for detail. Tell us about your home network and labs you have setup
• You can demonstrate knowledge of CyberArk’s Blueprint for PAM Success
• You demonstrate an unrelenting pursuit of customer service
• Show us how you automate using PowerShell and Python

Education / Training Requirements:

• Bachelors in IT or equivalent
• Networking Certifications: CCNP, NSE-4, PCNSE, CCSA or equivalent

Education / Training - Highly Desirable:

• Security Vendor certifications – Carbon Black, CyberArk, FireEye, Fortinet, Netskope, Proofpoint, Tenable and Zscaler.
