We have an exciting 12mth fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced and passionate Business Analyst to join our PMO Team where you will work collaboratively with business owners, technology and key stakeholders across the business to research, design and deliver business requirements for projects and activities across our SIXT hire car business. You will also be responsible for identifying cost saving opportunities through waste reduction and process improvement.

This role offers hybrid work arrangements from our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home as agreed and required.   

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting with shaping and scoping projects and initiatives.
• Gathering, validating and documenting business requirements​.
• Presenting business requirements across the business s required.
• Mapping as-is (current state) and to-be (future state) processes as part of defining business requirements.
• Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements​ to drive cost out and reduced waste. 
• Estimating costs and identifying business savings to define desirability, feasibility and viability of proposed process improvements​.
• Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
• Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the business teams.
• Implementing and testing of solutions​.
• Supporting business transition and helping to effectively manage and establish change.

As a Business Analyst, you will be pivotal in fostering strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders while driving process enhancements and delivering impactful solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, mitigate risks, and craft user stories that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate robust relationships through active engagement with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Process Improvement: Document current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement to drive operational efficiency.
• Requirements Gathering: Utilize proactive information gathering techniques to discover, synthesize, and clarify requirements accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborative Solution Development: Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements. Develop recommendations and solutions that effectively meet business and customer needs.
• Risk Management: Identify, raise, and support the mitigation and resolution of risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable.
• User Story Development: Create detailed user stories that articulate clear requirements and support effective project delivery.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with diverse team members, including Product Owners, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Tech Leads, and Engineers, to identify, capture, plan, and implement changes that drive project success.

About the role

We currently have a great opportunity for a Group Safety Business Partner (GSBP) to join the NRMA’s safety team on a full-time permanent basis.

The position will provide technical safety support mainly to SIXT and Roadside BU’s whilst also working collaboratively across the NRMA Group. As businesses that support our customers on the road, the SIXT and Roadside Businesses share similar attributes both prioritizing safety and compliance as it relates to regulatory compliance, Heavy Vehicle laws, road safety and associated risks.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Disputes squad within our Shared Services team.  

Shared Services refers to the domain within our Product Division that has business ownership and accountability for the common assets and functions used within the Product Division. Shared Services is complex. As the link between other product domains, we are the business owner of over 40 applications.  

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Business Analyst will support the integration of business needs with technology solutions through analysing information, understanding the requirements of stakeholders and vendor partners to define effective solutions. 

About the Role: 

• Work with stakeholders to understand needs, manage conflicts, and validate requirements.  

• Form and maintain effective relationships with third parties such as Vendors, Outsourced Partners, Business Partners and Clients  

• Organise and synthesize stakeholder information, apply analysis techniques, and ensure artefacts meet quality standards.  

• Capture, manage, and communicate requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with business needs.  

• Prepare and present business analysis artefacts according to Community of Practice (COP) standards.  

• Collaborate on cost & time estimation for business analysis tasks and support Go-Live plans and activities.  

• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and clients to support project goals and business value  

• Perform value stream mapping and user story mapping to illustrate end-to-end business processes and identify improvements. 

• Understand TDD and BDD concepts to support end-to-end quality engineering outcomes through well-defined user stories and artefacts. 

About You: 

• At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry within the Banking or Financial Services industry, payments experience highly regarded.  

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business studies or equivalent 

• Advanced presentation and communication skills  

• Proven experience in delivering results to meet customer expectations 

• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), IIBA, CBAP or BABOK qualifications.
