We now have an opportunity available in the role of Case Manager (Workplace Investigations and Performance).   Reporting to the National Manager, Case Management Support, this is an employee relations specialist role providing advice, coaching and support on a full range of people management issues.  You will be responsible for delivering high-quality consistent advice, coaching and support to line managers in the areas of misconduct investigations, performance management, formal and informal disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, fitness for work and internal appeals. 

This will include the management of highly sensitive and complex cases, including those which arise under the Group Whistleblower Policy. This role will be based in Sydney, with some interstate travel required.

In addition to building superior relationships with stakeholder groups, such as legal, safety and medical, you will also be passionate about leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Senior Consultants in Case Management Support.

We're looking for an experienced employee relations specialist or employment lawyer who has a strong track record in the area of employee relations and/or case management. Naturally, you are a skilled influencer and stakeholder manager who has a passion for achieving outcomes by partnering with leaders and investing in building solid relationships.  You will genuinely enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and bring a structured, organised, analytical approach to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualification in Employment Law/Human Resources/related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in advising on individual people matters, including complex misconduct investigations and grievances.

• Proactive approach with the ability to provide practical and pragmatic solutions to support business needs and deliver optimal Group outcomes.

• Strong case management experience and the ability to provide advice in a consistent and timely manner.

• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation along with the ability to influence and negotiate.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain documented audit trails, advice and investigations with a meticulous attention to detail.

• High level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them in the management of cases.

• Demonstrated skills using reporting to analyse trends and insights.

• Sound judgement and ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and discretion.

• Experience in coaching, mentoring and leading others.

• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and tasks.

The Role

AHA has a small in-house IT team managing a range of bespoke software solutions, which provide critical infrastructure and services across Australia.  They range from application registration and program management to securely importing and analysing millions of lines of data each month. 

We're looking for a full-time Business Analyst to join our small, dedicated team.  The team is business-aligned. We conduct COTS implementations, and design bespoke software solutions, including ongoing enhancements, for projects and clients.  

This position is for an early career Business Analyst of approximately three (3) years' experience.

As part of the team, you’ll:

• Elicit requirements from different technical and business stakeholders using a variety of techniques
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to guide and establish the technical vision
• Liaise between the business units, technology teams and support teams
• Participate in the defect identification and rectification process, including providing advice and assistance to the Test team
• Develop and maintain documentation as required
• Work from home four days a week and in our Melbourne office with your team one day a week.

About you

• You’re a Business Analyst with approximately three (3) years’ experience in the industry
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams across all levels of business, technology, and external clients and vendors
• You're a self-starter: motivated and able to prioritise work with minimal oversight
• You’re able to work independently with users to define concepts as well as and under direction of the project manager
• You are able to create and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
• You take ownership and accountability for outcomes
• You are extremely detailed oriented and able to define requirements to a highly detailed level.
