Cabrini's Pharmacy Department Cabrini Health Pharmacy Departments are located at Malvern and Brighton and provide a range of patient-centred pharmacy services to Cabrini patients, including clinical pharmacy, dispensing, procurement, sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing, and clinical trial management. We advocate the Quality Use of Medications which involved the safe, appropriate, effective, and cost-effective use of medications across the continuum of care. How you will make an impact As a Pharmacist at Cabrini, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a nurturing, collaborative environment working alongside experienced professionals. Our pharmacists have the opportunity to rotate through clinical ward pharmacy, sterile and cytotoxic dispensing and inpatient dispensing. You will be an essential member of all clinical teams and have a critical role in patient management. Key responsibilities will include:
Providing pharmaceutical service to patients and clinicians, ensuring prescribing and dispensing Compliance with legislative and professional requirements
Providing dispensing and medication counselling service to patients
Providing pharmaceutical information to health professionals
Ensuring medications are stored safely and appropriately
Communicating and working cooperatively within the department and wider organisation
We currently have both Grade 1 & 2 positions available with full or part time hours on offer. Flexibility will be required, the hours are usually worked over 5 days - Monday to Friday - with some on-call, weekend and evening work on a rostered basis at Malvern, Brighton and Elsternwick sites. Current AHPRA Registration
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy (desirable)
Well-developed computer skills
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be proactive and work well within a team
Sound prioritising and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to conflicting demands
