About This Opportunity?


More variable renewable energy-based generators (VREGs) are integrated into the electricity grid each year. However, VREGs produce oscillations (periodic energy exchange across system components), which cause grid instability and are a roadblock for the growth of renewable energy. Such oscillations result in reduced VREG production or commissioning delays, which place technical and financial pressure on renewable generators. This project will facilitate a researcher network, from the USA, the UK, India and industry partner Iberdrola Australia, developing innovative methods to identify oscillation sources based on the measurement from VREGs to accelerate the integration of renewables into the electricity grid, paving the way for Australia to reach net zero by 2050.



The aim of this project is to develop a network of outstanding researchers to fast-track innovative solutions to the critical challenge of network instability caused by power oscillation introduced through renewable energy integration into the electricity grid. The project aims to develop new methods to identify the sources of oscillations produced by variable renewable energy generators (VREGs), which will consequently facilitate effective solutions to address system instability caused by oscillations, thereby, reducing the technical and financial barriers to greater integration of renewable energy. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will have strong engagement with industry and research partners.



Key responsibilities will include:?



Research

Develop the required oscillation identification methods under the guidance of senior project team.

Draft the milestone reports as required by the ICIRN project.

Produce quality research outputs consistent with discipline norms by publishing or exhibiting in high-quality outlets.

During the Fellow’s three-year contract at UQ, submit at least one project and one fellowship application for competitive research funding to support projects and activities.

Work with colleagues in the development of joint research projects and applications for competitive research funding support.

Contribute to progressing towards the transfer of knowledge, technology and practices to research end users through translation, including commercialisation of UQ intellectual property.

Develop a coherent research program and an emerging research profile.

Review and draw upon best practice research methodologies.



Supervision and Researcher Development

Contribute to the effective supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students (as appropriate).

Demonstrates personal effectiveness in supervision and the management of researcher development.

Effective lead and develop supervisee performance and conduct by providing feedback, coaching, and professional development.

This is a full-time 100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 years at Academic Level A. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $75,808.68 - $100,926.59, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $88,696.16 - $118,084.11 annually.?As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

Overview
The Consultant works with new and existing customers to provide subject matter expert advice and consulting to assist in the acquisition of deals. They are looking for a hard-working and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join their supportive team in a permanent capacity. Your new role Reporting to the Senior Accounts Manager, your duties will include: Collect the monies due for goods and services rendered from customers. Maintain records of outstanding debts and make arrangements to follow up of outstanding and bad debts; Reconcile overdue debts via letters/telephone and organise debt collection/recovery; Data entry of Customer Master and other relevant records; Reconcile Retail accounts and identify reasons for identified discrepancies; Investigate the credit worthiness of potential retail customers for submission of those authorising accounts; Work with Credit team from other states to deal with customer enquiries on accounts; Process Direct Debits, Credit Card & Cheque banking for the business; Recommend process improvement by identifying and reducing any reworks; What you'll need to succeed Previous Experience in a high volume Accounts Receivable position Experience using Pronto & MYOB is desired Self-motivated & time management skills Highly organised and committed to meeting deadlines Strong Attention to Detail Proficient in the Microsoft Suite What you'll get in return You will receive the exciting opportunity to be part of an amazing team of talented individuals, and the chance to work in an office environment with a fantastic family feel.
